This was our third and last time staying at this property. The ambience of the place, particularly the outdoor fire pit and the enjoyment it provided, socializing with other guests, made it possible to overlook the run-down condition of the property and the musty smell of the rooms, the gross carpeting and the dated decor. However, the firepit is now gone, the victim, I was told, of noise complaints from neighbors. However, noise was never an issue on our previous visits. The property seems to be under new ownership and I suspect they simply don't want to pay for firewood. The front desk clerk was rude to my wife when she asked for an ice bucket, yelling at her that there is one in every room when there clearly wasn't in ours. The TV didn't work, but we didn't want to go back and deal with this person. That's unfortunate, because the old staff was quite friendly. Finally, the included breakfast is served starting at 8 a.m. meaning that if you need to get up and out, no breakfast even though you have paid for it. We won't be back.
