Thunderbird is right off the main street in east Elko, NV. Elko is a simple town connecting SLCto Reno. There is nothing much going on except casino. The facility is a bit dated, but clean, organized, spacious, and quiet. The hostess is efficient and helpful. The bathroom is well-stocked.

It appears to be in old town, but was clean and quiet. Did not have any unsafe feelings while out for a stroll. Was easy to get in and out of facility. The staff were very friendly and helpful. Rooms were very comfortable

I needed a last minute booking as I was traveling through the area. Price was good but hotel is sketchy. Upon check-in a couple came in looking to get a room for by the hour deal. Lady was clearly strung out on drugs and man was argumentative with desk host. Host told them they had no vacancy and to go to mid town. Eventually they left but he said it was a common thing and they would let them have to open rooms after 1am. My room had cigarette burns in the sheet and no joking what looked like blood on the wall. Not a place I would take my family. Lobby didn’t open until 8am and I had to be on the road early so no breakfast. You get what you pay for I guess. This place will do in a pinch but I will look for a different option next time.

Great for a one-night stay. The room was clean and the area was safe to walk to downtown Elko and dinner in the early evening. However, this place is not without quirks. There are full-time residents here, one man feeds pigeons in the parking lot. The staff ranges from friendly and competent to surly and annoyed.

I had a noisy room on first floor and the motel owner told me if I didn’t like it to get a room somewhere else, she would not try to accommodate me. I highly recommend to not get reservations at this motel.
