My go to hotel in downtown Edmonton for any hockey game or concert as it’s so close to the arena. Pool could use and upgrade but that’s about only complaint.

Great location for us, 10 minute walk to Roger’s place, $20 Uber ride to West Edmonton Mall. Parking would be the only negative thing, but we have a 1Ton truck and the Hotel texted us couple days prior to our stay warning us of the limited parking. All worked out!

Property is in need an update, staffs are friendly but I had to wait 30 minutes to be checked in because there was only one staff working even though the line is 5 deep. The steam room is good but pool area is in need of renovation and the fitness area is way too small to be called a gym.

No where was I told that the hotel charges a 200.00 deposit, not a hold but a charge. That I was told would refunded at checkout. I have never paid a 200.00 deposit for a hotel room and if i had known I would not booked that hotal. Unfortunate either Hotels.com nor Coast Edmonton Plaza Hotel states this anywhere up front. I paid no such deposit at the Hampton Inn in downtown Winnipeg?
