Pillars House was the nicest friendliest B and B I have stayed in in Edinburgh.Great location in Leith seconds away from the nice wee shops and cafes with buses that run into the city centre...easy to catch.Edna and Greg were lovely friendly people and we felt at home and looked after.Breakfast was also great and we loved the big table we all sat round with Edna cooking breakfast for us.Nice quiet location with a good view of the park.Our room had all we needed with tea and coffee making facilities and even a wee fridge with water in it for us also a small safe for valuables.Wish we could have stayed for longer but will definitely be back at pillars.Great old property also and loved the wooden owl at the bottom of the wooden staircase on arrival.Definately recommend pillars great for all everyone lovely family feel.

Excellent staff, family environment, family room was big and beds were comfortable, shower was a little slow but good worked. Separate tapes for hot and cold water which we didn't like it. Excellent breakfast, my son had a potato pie and French toasts as per my request, chef made it excellent. About 40 mins walking distance to Edinburgh castle, but we could take a bus directed to castle. All attractions were very close if you can walk along to there. Free parking area but if u are lucky to find the place especially at night. All over is very good staying place for Edinburgh trip.
