I chose this place for its proximity to the airport. That was fine but the hotel was such a maze of stairs and hallways and rooms and nothing made sense. The signs and directions could be greatly improved. we wasted precious time just trying to find the lobby, the Brassiere restaurant and our room. Time that could be better spent sleeping before our flights. Our dinner at the Brassiere was just average.

Unexpectedly bad
I have been travelling all around the globe and I am not expecting much from the hotels where we stay, but for the price, this hotel is terrible. Dirty rooms, towels with holes where you can fit your hands, or dirty like somebody cleaned their shoes. It is also a nightmare to navigate, it is a labyrinth..., service and nor helpful, very snobby, and food in the restaurant horrible. Plus, to entry and exit of the complex is a suicidal adventure. Nothing else to add, if I could, I will give them a -10 instead of a 1. Very disappointed, I was expecting more, but this does not reach event a 1 start hotel by American standards.

Beautiful hotel and easy to access with public transit and tons of parking if driving. Food was delicious and staff were wonderful. Room was clean and spacious and bed was extremely comfortable. Would stay again.

No air conditioning so far too hot, almost contemplated leaving early 😔 Staff in the brassiere were not very attentive and the food was expensive for what it was. Bfast was chaos, far too busy even at non busy times. A shame really 😔

Generally below average!
Over priced for what it was, although around Edinburgh fringe time, so partly expected. Couldn’t get to the bar on the Saturday night due to a wedding so asked the restaurant to get me a glass of wine, but they wouldn’t. Other bar tables were covered in empty plates with no staff in sight. Breakfast coffee was horrible, ignored when we sat down for breakfast the next day to get tea! Very disappointing!

Although this property was out of town, public transport (bus) was available across the road in and out of Edinburgh. The staff were absolutely amazing, so friendly and helpful. Nothing was a bother at all. The rooms were spacious, clean and comfortable. Restaurant and bar opens were also excellent. We loved our 3 night stay!

Had a fantastic time upgraded to the King Bedroom. Food was great. If you’re looking for a state of the art hotel this is not for you. This is steeped in Scottish history and with an old building you get that wear patina. Grounds and golf course manicured and well kept. Staff very helpful and polite. Will stay there again if we visit the area.
