A really nice hotel except they rent most of it out for weddings & then you are stuck listening to loud & annoying music until 2 a.m. in the morning. We didn’t sleep at all & for the cost this luxury hotel I didn’t expect this. If you are going to allow weddings then either rent the whole hotel to the wedding or warn other guests! I would not have stayed here had I known. Very little by way of breakfast or dinner (no vegan options).

fabulous location
quiet hotel in beautiful location. we had bikes so were able to cycle around the island.

Country side hotel with focus on groups
Big room had very thin curtains without sun blind, waking me up at 04.00h, next night changed to much smaller room with blinds which was better. Hotel is used for conferences. Not a lot of soul in the dining room.

Et skønt sted i skønne omgivelser
Et skønt sted i skønne omgivelser med vand og eng og skov og have. Maden på stedet var forrygende. Aftensmaden og morgenmaden lavet med kærlighed af egne eller lokale råvarer. Et ros til køkkenet. Værelset var af lidt ældre dato og lidt slidt men ellers ok for et hotelværelse. Alt i alt er stedet en god oplevelse til prisen.

Mere kursuscenter end hotel.
Fremragende beliggenhed, men Gl. Avernæs er mere et kursuscenter end et hotel. Værelserne og sengene er små og savner de faciliteter man normalt får i den prisklasse. Værelset blev meget varmt og der var ikke mulighed for at åbne et vindue. En havedør kunne åbnes men ikke fastholdes på klem. Udsugningen i badeværelset virkede ikke og blev trods daglige løfter ikke udbedret i de 3 dage opholdet varede. Det er for ringe at man kun kan spise på "hotellet" hvis man har forudbestilt det. Billedmaterialet af Gl. Avernæs er misvisende når man bliver indlogeret i en moderne uromantisk tilbygning. Hotellet levede ikke op til vores forventninger.

Es war eine sehr "interessante" Erfahrung, diese Unterkunft zu besuchen. Zunächst war der Check in freundlich, aber wenig informativ. Ich bekam keine Info wann es Frühstück gibt oder wann maximal Zeit ist für Check out. Auf meine Frage, ob ich im Restaurant zu Abend essen könnte, wurde mir sofort mitgeteilt, dass es ausgebucht sei. Ich habe einen Blick um 19 Uhr ins Restaurant geworfen. Auf der Terrasse waren 5 Tische leer und nicht einmal eingedeckt, im Restaurant 4 Tische. Ich denke, da wäre ein Platz möglich gewesen.... So hat man mir klar gemacht, ich muss mich ums Abendessen selbst kümmern. Spannend, wenn man nach 17 Uhr anreist.... Ich habe noch nie eine so dünne Zimmerwand erlebt. Wenn man gar die elektronische Zahnbürste nebenan hören kann und jegliche körperliche Beschwerden, Blähungen und sonstigen Dingen, kann man sich vorstellen wie erholsam die Nacht war (Ironie).... Silberfische, die Nachts durchs Zimmer wandern und ein Raum, der, trotz dauerhaft geöffneter Fenster, konstant 25 grad hatte, ist der i Punkt auf meine Übernachtung.... Nach über 2 Monaten Reise quer durch ganz Europa (inkl aller Ost Staaten) ist mir so eine Unterkunft, wie Diese, nicht zu Augen gekommen.....
