Little Friston Lodge is a luxury holiday cottage from Exclusively Eastbourne in the most delightful of settings - overlooking the stunning South Downs and perfect for those who appreciate a tranquil, idyllic location.

This picturesque holiday cottage is an annexe to a majestic country house, and guests can access the full expansive gardens and meadows of this historic dwelling, with access to public pathways directly from the grounds.

This Exclusively Eastbourne cottage is ideally located for wonderful walks and cycle rides, and offers access to a wealth of nearby attractions - from historic sites, such as Pevensey Castle, to the eclectic 'Lanes' shopping area of Brighton.

While the owners of the main house are on hand to offer advice if required, you have your own private entrance so can relax undisturbed if you prefer.

There are are two bedrooms sleeping up to four. The master bedroom has a kingsize bed and an ensuite bathroom. The second bedroom is usually a twin, but can be set up as a kingsize - so this is a great option for couples as well as families. There is also a spacious family shower room upstairs, and a downstairs toilet.

Downstairs, there is a large, open-plan living space with patio doors on to a private terrace with table and chairs enjoying wonderful countryside views.

The dining table is placed by these French doors, so even when dining indoors you have the perfect opportunity to take in the views.

The kitchen area is fully equipped for self-catering, with all the utensils you’ll need, plus washing machine, double oven, fridge freezer, dishwasher and microwave.

The lounge has a wood-burning stove (logs provided), a TV, DVD player, iPod docking station and a Sonos WiFi speaker.

If you're on a cycling trip, you can store your bikes in an adjacent shed in the grounds.

There is private, off-road parking for two vehicles for the cottage. WiFi is provided, plus high quality towel and linen, and the owners throw in a few welcome goodies to get you started.

Excellent stay at Little Friston Lodge
We had a really lovely week at Little Friston Lodge. Amanda and Keith made us very welcome and we were made to feel very much at home. The accommodation was excellent and the use of the large garden with the spectacular views of the South Downs was lovely. Public transport connections to Eastbourne, Beachy Head, Seaford and Brighton are excellent and there are plenty of pubs and restaurants in the area. We would definitely like to return next year.

Little Friston Lodge
The property is in an excellent position for touring the numerous places of interest in the area. The upstairs of the property is spacious, however the kitchen/lounge/dining area is a little cramped for 4 adults. The gardens, which you have full access to, are lovely with stunning views across the downs. For those who enjoy walking there is easy access to the downs without taking the car.

A lovely time
Little Friston Lodge is a great place to stay. The house is very well equipped, beautfully furnished and very comfortable. The garden is an absolute delight and leads to lovely countryside. Amanda and Keith made us very welcome and left nice things in the kitchen for us to enjoy on our arrival. There is loads to see and do in the area. You can walk to the cliffs, the sea and the nearby village of East Dean or venture further afield. We are very happy to recommend a stay in Little Friston Lodge.

Wunderbarer Urlaub in herrlicher Umgebung !
Wir haben 10 wunderschöne Tage hier in der Little Friston Lodge verlebt. Das Haus ist sehr liebevoll im englischen Stil eingerichtet und hat eine sehr hochwertige Einrichtung. Schicke, moderne Küche, Sonos-Lautsprecher für Musikgenuss über das schnelle Internet, TV und DVD für regnerische Tage, gemütliche Schlafzimmer mit dicken, weichen Matratzen (mag für viele etwas zu weich sein) und helle Bäder. Das Beste ist allerdings der wunderschöne Garten mit einem atemberaubenden Blick in die englische Landschaft. Viele Sitzgelegenheiten bieten Platz zum Essen, Faulenzen, Lesen oder einfach nur zum Landschaft genießen. Wir haben viel unternommen. Besuche in Eastbourne, dem kleinen Ort East Dean, Brighton oder Seaford, schöne "Spaziergänge" (Wanderungen durften wir nicht sagen, sonst hat unsere Tochter direkt gestreikt) über die Wiesen und an den Klippen entlang, oder einfach nur zum Pub ins Dorf hinunter. Das "Tiger Inn" ist sehr empfehlenswert. Ein einzigartiges Ambiente (draußen und drinnen), leckeres Bier (Tip: Harvey's!) und gutes, traditionelles "Pub-Food". Ein großes Dankeschön an unsere Vermieter Amanda & Keith. Ihr wart so nett und herzlich! Einfach tolle Gastgeber, die mit Rat und Tat Gästen zur Seite stehen. Auch das Willkommenskörbchen mit einer Auswahl an leckeren Sachen war liebevoll zusammengestellt. Es war alles in allem wie Urlaub bei Freunden. Gerne kommen wir irgendwann wieder !
