Lake front cottage with beach & dock (Pet-Friendly!)

This amazing property that offers water views from three sides and nearly 300 feet of lake frontage. Whether you want to relax or have some fun, this place has it all. You can enjoy the water activities on the 4 km long Lake Torment, such as swimming, kayaking or fishing. You can launch your water toys from the two small beaches on the property or from the floating dock. You can also explore the nearby trails with your ATV or side by side, or try jet skiing in the winter.

If you are looking for a peaceful and relaxing vacation by the lake, look no further than this charming cottage. This property features over 300 square feet of lakefront access, where you can enjoy various water sports and activities, or simply admire the stunning views. You can also discover the nearby attractions, such as the hiking trails and the Ross farm museum. In the evening, you can cozy up by the fire pit, gaze at the stars, or read a book in a hammock.

The cottage has three bedrooms and one bathroom. The main floor has a queen-sized bed with a fantastic view of the lake and also has a desk, ergonomic chair and 2 monitors incase you need to work remotely. The upper floor has a double bed also with great view of the lake and another bedroom with two twin beds, along with a TV. You can start your day with the sound of the waves. The bathroom has a shower, a sink, and a toilet, and the kitchen has all the appliances you need, such as a microwave, an oven, and an air fryer. The dining room has a big table where you can savor your meals with a view. The mud room has a washer and dryer for your convenience. The living room is spacious and bright, with large windows that let you enjoy the scenery even on cloudy days. The living room has a sofa, a day bed that sleeps two, and a TV. There is also a wood fireplace for those cold nights.

The cottage has high speed internet and if you might need work , the bedroom downstairs has a dedicated workspace with standing desk, dual monitor, mouse and keyboard and USB-C hub/HDMI to connect with your Laptop/Mac.

Please be aware that there is only one heat pump for AC that covers the main floor, but not the upper floor bedrooms. Depending on the weather, the upper floor bedrooms may get quite warm. There are ceiling fans in each bedroom and portable fans are also available. Please do not book if this is an issue for you. Also be aware that the 2 bedroom upstairs does not have doors so might not provide privacy you might need.

You are welcome to enjoy all the amenities of the property, except for a few areas that are off-limits. These include the shed, the outhouse (which is not safe to use), a steel box in the dining room, and a personal closet in the bedroom. These areas are locked for your safety and privacy. Please respect the lawn grass and do not drive your car on it. Also, please be mindful of the neighbors' boundaries and do not use their dock, which is located in front of their house. The property line ends at the driveway, so please stay within it. Thank you for your cooperation and have a wonderful stay.

Other details to note
1) In case of any emergency repair, please allow access to the tradespeople who will be sent by us. This is for your safety and convenience. Also, please do not interfere with any outside maintenance work such as snow cleaning and lawn mowing.

2) We strongly recommend that you purchase travel insurance before your trip. This will give you peace of mind in case of any unforeseen circumstances or cancellations.

3) To keep the cottage clean and hygienic, please do not wear outside shoes inside. You can use the shoe rack provided at the entrance to store your footwear.

4) Please be respectful of the cottage and its amenities. We expect you to leave the cottage in the same condition as you found it. Please wash and dry any kitchen items that you use and make sure that any appliances or gas grill are not dirty. If we find any items that are not cleaned properly, we will charge you a cleaning fee. To clean the grill, please use the steel wool brush and cover it with the cover provided after it cools down.

5) Smoking is strictly prohibited inside the cottage. If we detect any evidence of smoking, we will charge you a deep cleaning fee.

6) We have some inflatables toys and pedal boats available for your enjoyment, but please be aware that they are not guaranteed to be in perfect condition and may pose some risks. You are required to wear a lifejacket at all times when in or near the lake. You are also responsible for your own safety and well-being when using any of the water toys/boats, etc. and you agree to release the owners from any liability. If you do not agree to these terms, please do not use any of those items. Please make sure to secure the boat and inflatable after each use.

7) The maximum occupancy of the property is 8 people. Please indicate the exact number of guests or pets who will stay/enter the property at any point during your reservation. Only the guests / pets that are included in the booking are allowed on the property (inside or outside).

8) The host will not be held responsible for any failure or delay in fulfilling an obligation under this Agreement that is caused by any of the following events (which are referred to as “Force Majeure”), if they are beyond its reasonable control: acts of God, accidents, riots, war, terrorist acts, epidemics, pandemics, quarantines, civil unrest, breakdown of communication facilities, breakdown of web host, breakdown of internet service provider, natural disasters, governmental actions or inactions, changes in laws or regulations, national strikes, fire, explosion, or general lack of availability of raw materials or energy.

9) Please note that the toilet may have some magnesium stains due to high magnesium content in the water. This does not affect its cleanliness or functionality. We assure you that the toilet is thoroughly cleaned after each turnover.

10) Three of the windows are missing the trim (windows are fully functional). This is due to a delay in the delivery of the trim. We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause.

11) If you encounter any issues during your stay, please contact the host as soon as possible. Please do not wait until the checkout date to report any problems so that we can try to resolve them for you.

12) Due to the nature of the property, you may see some bugs inside the cottage from time to time. Please keep the doors closed when not needed and always use the nets on the windows. Leaving the doors or windows open will allow bugs to enter.

13) We appreciate your cooperation in maintaining a hygienic environment both indoors and outdoors. However, due to the large size of the outdoor area, we cannot ensure its cleanliness at all times. We kindly ask you to watch your step and avoid any bird or animal feces.

14) We depend on external service providers for utilities such as water, internet, and power. Therefore, we cannot guarantee their availability or reliability. Please be aware that the water supply may be affected if there is a power outage.

15) We regret to inform you that we do not offer any cancellation or refund options if the lake is closed due to unforeseen circumstances. We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause.

16) We provide one bath towel per guest for your convenience.
During your stay at this cottage, you'll be close to Lake Torment. The cottage includes amenities such as free WiFi and a kitchen.

Fantastic spot for a family
We had a great stay from August 20-27. We chose this spot as it was close to family in the area and we wanted to be able to base ourselves close to them while also being within an hour or so of a lot of Halifax, Peggy's Cove, etc. The cottage was a great size, with lots of space for our family to relax and spread out. The kitchen was very well-appointed. The outdoor space was just wonderful - we enjoyed a campfire almost every night, and during the day the kids spent hours in the paddleboat checking out the shoreline. If we are back in the area, we will definitely check to see if this cottage is available!

Lovely place
We went there for Christmas with our kids and friend. Place is clean, charming. Lot of stuff for kids, toys, games, books, plastic dishes, high chair. Living room is spacious, with view on lake. The fire place works great, quiet area with a small convenience store a little further. You'll have to drive around 40 minutes to do your groceries. One of our best stay !!
