This was a great place to stay a 1st night in Croatia after a long couple day of travel from the US. Vimbula is situated right on a river which makes for a lovely spot to have your breakfast. There are a couple good restaurants and convenience stores nearby you can walk to. It is also a good location if you come with a car.

The hotel is on a quiet street overlooking a beautiful, serene, colorful river with boats. We dined at their outstanding restaurant on this river.The chef Steve presents superb dishes with attention to detail. All of the staff are very friendly and helpful. Mirianna was our wonderful server two days in a row. She went to elementary school in our hotel building sixty years ago! Less than 200 meters is a city bus that takes you straight to the Old City gate and wall. So very convenient! The breakfast was wonderful with an array of choices. We are recommending this hotel for any stay in the Dubrovnik area.

This is a very small property. Just 12 rooms. Looks more like a hostel rather than a hotel. Room was ok nothing special. Staff seems surprised to see us there, no idea why. Breakfast is super limited. Very very basic. Far away from central area. For the price it is not worth it.
