On your next vacation to Lake Michigan settle down and call this Northern Lights Condo your home away from home. Boasting easy lake access, stellar shared amenities, and an updated interior - this condo has it all! When you aren't exploring the town of Douglas, or are out on the beach, head for the turquoise water of the shared pool, open May 15th - October 1st. In addition to the pool, three gas firepits are available for campfire stories and s'mores.

Inside, your comfort is catered to. The open-concept layout blends perfectly. Sit and warm up in front of the heat of the gas fireplace while streaming your favorite TV shows and movies. The adjacent well-equipped kitchen features high-end appliances, a hidden fridge/freezer, and a dishwasher. A bathroom is also available on the main level of the condo.

Just up the spiral staircase, you'll find the spacious, sun-filled bedroom. Plush, kept cool thanks to the condo's central air-conditioning, and complete with an en suite bathroom - this space is one of pure peace. A private washer/dryer rounds out the retreat's fabulous interior amenities.

Outside, enjoy the fresh Michigan air from the private balcony or patio, equipped with a gas grill.

Great Location
The condo was clean except for a weird odor inside the refrigerator. The rest of the condo was very clean. There were extra towels in the bathroom. The condo has a Keurig which is not mentioned in the listing so bring your Keurig pods! Pool was very nice and we always got chairs. Be aware that the bedframe at the end of the bed sticks out and its very easy to bump into :( Easy to check in/out.

We really loved that there was a half bath in the 2 story apartment. We loved the outdoor space and the comfy beds. Lots of towels and decent kitchen supplies. They even supplied laundry detergent. The European appliances worked well once we figured them out. Better instructions would be helpful. Older travelers or folks with children should be aware of the spiral staircase, which was functional and attractive but a little hard to negotiate with luggage. Kitchen is small but functional. Never figured out how to use the microwave/oven. Overall a lovely place to stay and would recommend.

UNSAFE. Door would not lock OR latch properly!!!
Yes, the unit itself is very nicely renovated but as soon as we arrived we realized the door wouldn’t lock. It wasn’t due to a code issue but the door mechanism didn’t align with the lock/deadbolt. The door would “shut” but the hardware wouldn’t allow for the door to latch properly let alone lock it. I called several times throughout my stay, never being able to speak with the “local management” and only to someone from the “general” Vacasa customer service. However, I was reassured that someone would either come out to fix the door/reach out to me about the issue. I was told that it was a “priority safety issue” so it would be resolved quickly. No one came to fix it. It was a week after my stay and I still hadn’t heard back from ANYONE regarding this matter. It has taken me calling several times to even get a status update about a refund which is 50%. Apparently I can’t receive a 100% refund because we stayed there. It was a two night stay and I was reassured they would fix it the second day since no one came the first. Again, no one came the second day like they said and I had to call about the status update. It is unprofessional to rent a unit that does NOT lock. The fact that this company takes your money but aren’t there to resolve a true safety issue is unacceptable. Don’t stay here unless you want to use your luggage to keep the door shut and stay up all night hoping no one walks in. If there were vacancies else where we would have left the first day!

Cozy, clean, comfortable
This is a small, space-efficient condo with adequate amenities (NOTE: the coffee maker is a Keuirig, so plan accordingly). The bed was comfortable, and the unit was very clean. We enjoyed both the patio, and the deck off the 2nd floor bedroom. The spiral staircase is tight, but doable. If you are a bedtime reader, plan to bring a booklight as there are no bedside lamps adequate for reading. The pool is very nice, and the entire condo development was quiet and relaxing. Finally -- A+ on location!
