Lovely venue, good room and beautiful setting. Reception was overcrowded and really busy when both checking in and out - the space there is not good, layout is poor. Breakfast was good but please invest in a second coffee machine and toaster, the queues were dreadful, especially for a cup of coffee. The temperature of the hot water and towel rail was thermonuclear - kids would need to be careful.

Our stay at Wotton House was ok - everything was adequate although not special. We stayed in a standard double, maybe the bigger rooms would have been more impressive. The spa was nice although a bit worn in places. Breakfast was tasty, however the choice was essentially limited to a full English breakfast. The location is good to set out for walks.

Scenery is lovely, but the beds are so uncomfortable. They are hard and the beds are small. Service is great and other than the bed situation it is a lovely hotel.

Hotel looks nicer than it is, quite basic
The staff were very friendly, but our upgrade to a junior suite wasn't worth it, very basic room and not like the picture! The spa was quite run down, no music on and the hot tub was so busy we never got to go in. The rooms were quite beige and boring. The restaurant however was a completely different feeling and nicely decorated. The bar service was so slow, we spent how our evening waiting at the bar to be served.

This is a beautiful hotel and grounds. Made better by lovely weather meaning we could sit outside and explore the gardens. We booked a family room and were disappointed. Basically a double room with 2 fold up beds squeezed in. Not what is shown on website.

We stayed as we were attending a wedding nearby. Lovely hotel & beautiful grounds. Staff in restaurant were lovely. Felt the swimming pool area needed some updates- it was ok but not the best for this style of hotel

Positive things first. The main building front of house was nice. Bar staff and breakfast staff stood out. They were so friendly and helpful. Really disappointed with our stay. On arriving the hotel looked lovely from the outside. But on entering very tired hotel. Our room was awful for the amount of money we paid. £200 a night. Chipped furniture. No character at all. Very tired. Curtain hanging off. Gaps in the back door. Hallways really need decorating. Curtains stained. Outside lots of work needed to bring it up to standard. Breakfast ok but room not set up in bar from night before so bottles left on tables. It’s a shame because it really could be lovely.
