We were given keys to a room that was already occupied! We opened the door to our room to find someone sleeping on the bed. Absolutely absurd that this mistake happened. How horrific for the person who was burst in on late at night. Once we got into a new room, the room was ok-certainly not worth the price. The bathroom door wouldn’t shut all the way or lock. The thermostat kept resetting to a colder temperature. The room was very loud. I’ve stayed at many budget hotels that were far nicer than the Siren.

Beautiful old school hotel. I loved it. Our room was small, but it was fine for a couple. We didn’t mind. Only complaint is don’t check out at the same time as everyone else, as valet was a little slow. But that was my only complaint. Other than that a perfect hotel.

Showed up to check-in at 5:30p.m to check-in. Was told by Ivory that room wasn't ready and he tried to push me some drink vouchers for the inconvenience which I didn't want or need. The interaction was far from pleasurable. I had to go do dinner(somewhere else) and couldn't check-in until 7:30p.m. Room was pretty good overall but don't like the showers didn't have doors or curtains. I asked for a later check-out and was giving an extra 30minutes only. So I feel it was a pretty bad deal overall. Valet is a separate company and demanded I paid up-front which is crazy. I would stay again but, it wouldn't be high on my list.

Great location downtown. Walking distance to hockey/basketball,baseball and football field - even in cold December! $45 Uber from airport. Buddy’s pizza and fun bar Tin roof nearby.

The good first- very conveniently located as we were in town for a football game at ford field. The staff were very pleasant. It’s a very cute boutique hotel. The bad- the rooms are temperature controlled and it was freezing, they kindly gave us a space heater but that was not ideal. The hot water in the showers took 3-4 minutes to get warm. The rooms are small, which was okay but having to pay for bottled water was not cool esp because the sink water was cloudy. The elevator is as slow as molasses.

A special Hotel
I found it to be a real “Jewell“ in the heart of Detroit. Detroit has certainly made a comeback great restaurants, easy to walk to places, great lighting and night time that night at the Fillmore was all the better coming back into their special bar at the hotel

There's no heat. They could not get the temperature above 67 in the room. There was a sewage smell in the room. We left at 10pm and went to another hotel. And thanks to hotels.com we didn’t get a refund because the place is apparently non-refundable. Caveat emptor.

Great location and vibe.
The hotel had a very cool vibe. We were in town for a concert. We stopped at the hotel cocktail bar prior to dinner and enjoyed a delicious drink. The rooms were simple and clean. The thermostat never warmed up the room to the set temperature and would automatically turn off after a period of time. The valet parking is a slow, so plan accordingly and notify them of your departure prior to checking out, as it took roughly 45 minutes on checkout for us to receive our car.
