Royal Oak is a nice neighborhood. We walked to the farmers market on Saturday and the antique market on Sunday. Breakfast was nice, a step up from the usual free breakfast. If you're attending something in Detroit proper, expect a 20 min. drive.

All thanks to the wonderful staff at the Hyatt hotel in Royal oak Michigan this weekend. If it wasn’t for them I wouldn’t have had a room since Expedia was booking rooms that weren’t even available on their site. This could’ve been a nightmare but turned out amazing from the wonderful people and hospitality they showed.

GREAT and SAFE place to stay!!
Stayed here one night just passing through Detroit. Wanted a safe neighborhood and this was VERY safe. Took a nice walk at night down the main street. Parking lot was safe. Hotel was extremely clean, seemed new, and the bed was SUPER comfy that I slept deeply enough not to even move. Breakfast was delicious! I really enjoyed my stay. HIGHLY recommend staying here.
