Welcome to Southbay by the Gulf #93. Our updated family friendly town home is just steps away from the beach & swimming pool and includes "Free Beach Service" (March-October). Every morning an umbrella and two chairs will be reserved for you and your family on the beautiful Gulf of Mexico beach. We also provide beach toys in our guest patio closet for the kids to enjoy during your stay. Our beach town home is located in the most popular section of Southbay and is within walking distance to dining, entertainment, shopping, and has become extremely popular for many return guest.
Southbay by the Gulf is a community of privately owned town homes. This resort style community is located on 300 feet of one of the world's most beautiful private beaches with pristine powder white sand and crystal clear water. The property also has a 5 acre stocked freshwater lake to enjoy catching bass and brim. Park in your reserved parking spot within steps of your front door and avoid all those high-rise condo headaches.

This privately owned two story beach town home has been recently updated in 2024 with shiplap ceilings throughout the townhome and a snack bar with Mini-Refrigerator to store all of your beach snacks and beverages. This beach gem is a 3 bedroom 2.5 bath (with an additional queen size pull out sleeper sofa) that sleeps 8 guests and has approximately 1300 square feet of living space. This beautifully decorated beach town home is well appointed with everything you need to make your vacation memorable. Step out of your front door for a 10 second walk to the swimming pool or about a 1 minute walk to the beautiful beach. No streets to cross.

Back Yard Patio- Extra large private brick paved patio, new outdoor polywood dining table and chairs, beach towel racks, beach toys located in the guest patio storage closet, and a propane gas Barbeque Grill.

All guests have access to the property's 300 feet of beautiful private beach, two adult swimming pools (one heated during the winter holidays) and two pools for children with an air compressor station to blow up your inflatables. You and your family can play tennis, Pickleball, or shuffleboard in the lighted tennis court area, fish for bass and brim in the five acre stocked lake, or enjoy feeding the lake’s many ducks, turtles and birds from the lake bridge and gazebos.

Southbay by the Gulf is located in the heart of Destin and is within walking distance to many popular restaurants, shopping, supermarkets, Big Kahuna water park, and The Track recreation center. Southbay is also very close to other popular attractions such as, The Harbor Walk Village, pontoon boat rentals, deep sea fishing charters, and the Silver Sands Outlet Mall.

The property is stunning. The beach is feet away from the front door. Destin is a beautiful town with a lot of things to keep you busy even in the off-season. Patrick was a wonderful host, very informative and helpful from the day we booked until after we checked out. We will be back!! Great experience!

Wonderful stay!
We really enjoyed our stay and everything was as advertised. Condo was clean and well supplied and the location next to the pool was convenient. The beach towels for all of us and beach toys for the grandkids were great and they had a wonderful time. The beach is a minute walk away from the condo and was beautiful even after the hurricane. The owner is very responsive and super nice and he kept in contact with me due to the fact we were arriving a day after the hurricane. Very happy with our stay and hope to return soon.

We had 6 adults and 3 yr old and fit perfectly The kitchen was well stocked. Seating for everyone was ample, The community was close to attractions, Destin Commons, outlets, and restaurants. Near Perfect
As described, this charming 2-story condo was the perfect space for 4 adults and 2 kids. We loved that we were right next door to the pool area, and a 2 minutes walk to the beach. The kitchen was fully equipped with almost everything we needed. We did end up running out of paper towels and trash bags after the 3rd day, but we also had some with us, so problem solved. The beds were comfortable, the house was clean, we loved the back porch area, the grill was perfect, walking distance from several places, bluegill in the lake pond, and the access to beach items spared us from extra packing. The only real "complaints" were that the upstairs bedroom door doesn't close without some effort and the toilet paper was ½ ply 200 grit. Also easily overcome with some planning. Overall, we'd happily return to this home and the wonderful hosts!

Wonderful place to stay and highly recommend!
We loved our stay at this wonderful townhouse. The beach and pool access were very convenient. We enjoyed the private beach and free beach set up. The beach service gentleman even had great things to say about the owner. The townhouse was updated and had every convenience that we needed. The house was clean and was exactly like the pictures. The owners were friendly and explained things perfectly. Overall we can’t say enough good things about the place. We will definitely come back and stay here again.

We love the location of this property. It’s easy to go back and forth from the beach to the home (even for little kid potty breaks!). Also right next to the pool, we love it. I have been in a number of the other southbay townhomes, and this one was my favorite from a decor/cleanliness standpoint.

Great townhouse just steps from the beach and pool
We enjoyed our stay here so much! It is such a cute, homey, beach house. The beds were super comfortable and it was very clean. The proximity to the beach was great as we had young children in our group and the walk was super easy for them. It is also right next door to the pool which was also a huge plus for us. Having the chair service was an awesome bonus. Being able to grab our bag and head down to the beach and not have to lug any chairs around was incredibly nice. The host was also extremely nice and was quick and helpful in answering any questions we had along the way. We will definitely book here again! 10/10 stay!

From the beginning, everything went smoothly. All of my questions were answered almost immediately before arrival. Check in was easy. We did not experience any maintenance issues. Everything was as described/pictured. We loved being next to the pool and a very short walk to the breathtaking beaches. The location is near everything. Amazing!!
Another amazing stay in this house, it is our second time and plan on coming back next year. Perfect spot for beach and pool time. It is a beautiful unit. Love the updates and the oversized beach towels added this time. We enjoyed every minute of our time here. We had the best vacation ever. Our 2 year old and 4 year old had so much fun. Owners are super responsive and so nice as well. Wouldn’t change a thing about our stay.

A Learning Experience
The property was as described in VRBO. Our single issue with the patio sliding door was responded to quickly. Washer and dryer were well used, with rust visible on the dryer top. All towels were rough and scratchy even though quite plush, apparently fairly new. Fabric softener didn't help the situation.

Great Destin Property
We have used VRBO several times over the years. The Destin FL experience was one of the best. It started with host Patrick Greene. He communicated clearly, often within minutes of a question. He and his cleaning staff were able to accommodate all requests. The property was extremely clean and very well appointed. Located in a quiet area, it is next to the swimming pool and a very short walk to a beautiful beach. Everything worked as advertised and made the stay very enjoyable. The addition of two chairs and an umbrella included in the rental fee was great. Extra chairs and umbrellas are available for a reasonable fee. Ask for Taylor, he will hook you up. If you are looking to spend some time on the beach in Destin, you should consider this property. We will be back. Thanks Patrick.
