Welcome to the guesthouse Forsthaus Leiner Berg. Book a room in a beautiful landscape in the Wörlitz Garden Kingdom. The Forsthaus is located in the middle of the UNESCO World Heritage Site Dessau-Wörlitz Garden Kingdom and in the floodplains of Mulde and Elbe and is one of the most popular destinations on the European Bicycle Route R1. Since the year 2000, the garden kingdom Dessau-Wörlitz belongs to the world cultural heritage of the UNESCO. The UNESCO World Heritage Committee justified his admission as follows: »The Garden Kingdom Dessau-Wörlitz is an outstanding example of the implementation of philosophical principles of enlightenment in a landscape design that harmoniously combines art, education and business."The R1 follows the course of a two-thousand-year-old road across Europe, from the French Calais to the Netherlands, Germany, Poland and the Baltic States to St. Petersburg in Russia leads. It connects more than 3,000 km in length and covers nine European countries. The European Bicycle Route R1 is considered by many to be the European cycle path par excellence. For example, the sex of the Orangemen ranges from the Kingdom of the Netherlands over Oranienbaum in the Dessau-Wörlitz Garden Kingdom to the Dutch quarter in Potsdam. With a total length of more than 850 km, the Elbe Cycle Path is one of the most popular cycling routes in Germany. On a length of about 150 km from Pretzsch via Wittenberg and Dessau to south of Gommern, it connects the nature parks Fläming and Dübener Heide with the biosphere reserve Flusslandschaft Mittlere Elbe as well as the World Heritage Sites Dessau-Wörlitz Garden Kingdom, Lutherstätten Wittenberg and Bauhaustätten Dessau. The sections of our tours on the Elbe Cycle Path and the European Cycle Route R1, which also connect the UNESCO World Heritage cities of Potsdam, Lutherstadt Wittenberg and Dessau, offer a surprisingly diverse journey of discovery. It winds its way from the Harz along the Elbe in the Biosphärenreservat Flusslandschaft Mittlere Elbe through the Fläming and fascinates with its scenic and cultural-historical charms.
Arrivals are possible from 14:00 to 18:00 and departures from 07:00 to 10:00.
