The king size bed was comfortable. The TV worked well. The room was spotless. The decor was very nice. There were no maintenance issues at all with the room we had.

Very dated. Had to call maintenance for the fireplace. One of the lamps was broken. Sliding door was broken and would not open. We were woke in the middle of the night with water dripping to find water dripping out of the light fixture above the hot tub. We love staying at Stoney Creek motels, but this was disappointing and most likely will not return to this location.

Staff was awesome!!!
The staff at time of check in was fantastic! I reserved 4 rooms. One for myself and one for each one of my kids. 18 yo triplets. As it turns out, they voted in November and can rent an apartment, but could not have their own room. Staff worked with for a solution and did everything they could to make our stay as comfortable as possible!!!!!!

We got stopped in Des Moines December 30th from a snow storm and decided to stay here. Best choice ever! The staff was sooo helpful! We had nothing with us so they gave us everything we needed! The pool was amazing! We got to swim in the outdoor part while it snowed on us. It was amazing. And yes the pool was still very warm even though it is indoor and outdoor. The beds were so comfy! And the breakfast was great! We may come stay again tomorrow just for fun!!!

It was fine. Could've been better
There was some good and bad with this hotel. First let's talk about the good, the uniqueness of the room, we were in a theme suite, was fun. Loved having the fireplace. Having the swimming pool was a lot of fun and the hot tub really hit the spot after a day of driving. Okay, now the not so great. The whole hotel could do well from a good deep cleaning, especially the pool. Speaking of the pool, dude the chlorine was a bit of a killer. The room for the most part was fine, could have used some cleaning and repair, but overall not terrible. One thing that really put us off was having the cleaning crew knock on our door before 9:30 before we had even finished packing up. Super weird. Also, we received 2 drink tokens for a drink at the bar, but then was told the bar was closed. But all cards said they were open Mondays.

The staff was courteous and friendly from the time I arrived. The pool is a great size. The hot tub felt great! The bed was very comfortable. There was even a freezer with the fridge. The decor outside & inside is beautiful and welcoming. I’ll definitely stay again.
