Filthy hotel room & bathroom
Staff was nice at check in & check out. Room was absolutely filthy, some sort of black spots on the sheets, bathroom had mold all around the sides of the shower, and dirt, lots of long hair stuck in corners of the bathroom along with a mold smell throughout the room. We travel frequently and realize alot of people pass through hotels and the upkeep can be quite the chore but this was definitely in the top 3 dirtiest rooms ive ever had.

The rooms were clean, beds and pillows comfy. Super nice and walkable to Wells Fargo arena. The breakfast was amazing...so many choices compared to most places. My kids and I will be back.

Front desk staff awesome and knowledgeable. Easy access to freeway. Rooms comfortable and clean. Beds super comfy. Next time I would request a river view room with views of the river and state capitol at night. We really enjoyed our stay here! My only suggestions would be to heat the pool and up the quality of hot water in rooms…took awhile to heat up.

Man I don't think I will stay anywhere else when I come back to "Des Moines!" The rooms were spotless the beds were comfy and the staff were just wonderful, Oh and "Free Parking!!! 10/10 Recommended!!! And its right next to "801 Chophouse!!!" One of the nicest restaurants Ive had the pleasure of dining at!!! Thank you "Comfort Inn & Suites!!!" Until next time!!!

Located across the street from Wells Fargo Arena and the Iowa Events Center and along the river. Great walkways to enjoy being out along the river and also close enough to many bars/restaurants as well. Great staff, excellent breakfast and everything was clean and maintained. Plenty of parking.

I had an amazing view of the river. The room was big, the bed was great. I just felt like this big property has been ignored. It need a facelift!!! Clean carpet, paint in hallways, tile. I mean the basics are just bad. The lemon water was great and refreshing. The breakfast presentation and cleanliness was perfect!! The staff was nice. The parking lot was clean and lit well.
