Looking to recharge in the mountains? Hop onto I-70 to experience breathtaking hikes and views within an hour. One of Colorado's main draws is Rocky Mountain National Park, which makes for a great day trip. Drive a little over an hour through a dramatic canyon for a day of hiking, sightseeing, and wildlife viewing. Depending on your destination, skiing is 1-3 hours away. Locals head to Echo Mountain, Eldora (near Boulder), or Loveland (near Georgetown) for a more low-key experience. We're also within a couple of hours of Arapahoe Basin, Breckenridge, and Copper Mountain.

This location is the perfect jumping-off point for exploring the best of Golden and surrounding towns, the Rockies, and even Denver if you’re craving the hustle and bustle of the big city!

Getting Around:
The Rocky Mountains are to the West, and Denver is South of where you will be staying. I-70 West will take you into the mountains and straight to the ski areas, while you can hop on I-25 to access Fort Collins to the North and Colorado Springs to the South. The 36 takes you to Boulder and eventually the Rocky Mountain National Park gateway towns of Lyons and Estes Park.

Downtown Golden is a highly walkable city. In addition to nearby Clear Creek Trails, Washington Avenue and the historic 12th street neighborhood are great locations to stroll. A car is recommended if you will be exploring the mountains. For those without a car, we recommend utilizing Uber or Lyft to reach further destinations in and around Golden. Get exploring!

Bright and airy
Nice, bright, and airy studio. Great location one block off the main drag downtown ( one block from the Table Mountain Inn). Quiet and has dedicated parking. It IS up a flight of stairs with no elevator. Has a washer and dryer and dishwasher if needed. Only one minor quibble: could use a full length mirror.

Anniversary weekend
We enjoyed our stay! The studio had everything we needed for a quick 2 night stay. We loved walking around Golden and hiking in the mountains, but our favorite part was the short 15 minute drive to Red Rocks for The Dierks Bentley concert!! Would definitely return to this property!

Centrally Located Perfection
My husband and I absolutely loved this VRBO. It's centrally located in downtown Golden. We were able to park the car, in a reserved spot, and walk our entire stay. The kitchen has everything you'd need, the decor was charming, and the space worked perfectly for the two of us. We're already planning to return!
