Very close to metro and shopping. Most of the touristy area is just a train ride away. Breakfast is decent and filling. Staff addresses issues immediately. They are renovating and adding Lift/elevator so it's very nosiy from about noon till 5:00 pm. Plan on staying away from premises during that time.

The very modest outside of the property does not translate into how nice and well-maintained. It is on the inside. The hotel is very modestly priced and worth the money Hotel is located about a five minute walk from the Kailash colony Metro Station on the violet line of the metro. Area around the hotel is safe even at night but it's the proximity to the metro which to me was the big selling point They seem to be in the process of renovating all the rooms in the hotel. Mine was very nice with a comfortable bed and very modern fixtures. The view from the window was not special, best to keep the curtains closed. The staff was very accommodating and quick to respond to my requests. Breakfast was filling and available from 8 AM to 10 AM. They also prepared meals from a menu at very modest prices. For the price and location I would highly recommend the hotel

The location of room allotted was bad, next to reception entrance. I requested for silent zone. This was noisy. The TV channels were recharged after our request. Wash basin was leaking and its position was congested. No mirror or dressing table in the room. Outside and pathway used to be parked with all cars. Nearby no good restaurants. Service boys were very pleasant and helpful. Food served was medium. We appreciate the mountaineering related photographs on display.

some big negatives, but also some positives.
we've stayed at Legend Inn a few years ago and had a wonderful experience. Seemed like a real find among this cheaper class of hotels in Delhi. And the location was really good for us. But this time...there was NO hot water. It was kind of terrible. Apparently, the boiler went out right before we arrived, since staff seemed to know nothing about this issue. They finally, starting the second day, offered to bring buckets of hot water for our bathing. The last day we were there, they said that it was fixed. The water went to lukewarm. This was OK for me, but still not satisfactory for my wife. And I also have to mention that the Wi-Fi at the hotel is really quite terrible. Even my AirTel wasn't connecting for data service. And I have to say the overall state of the place was rather dirty. So based on these issues, I will be very hesitant to book Legend again or to recommend it to others...especially to foreigners. On the positive side, the bed was comfortable and the staff did make a concession for us, ultimately, and let us stay at the hotel the last day until 5:00 pm when we had to go to the airport for flights. Most days, I had delicious masala omelettes with cheese. Staff was helpful in cutting up fruit that we bought and brought for breakfast. Staff was a bit mixed, some were very helpful and friendly, others were just useless to us.

We had welcome drink included in our stay but the hotel did not provide it despite reminders. Our stay was 7 nights. The water geyser broke in the midst of my bath and I had to wait till morning. Wifi keeps resetting every other day and have to call reception each time to get a new password.

Disappointing -- was rented a freezing room!
Overall the hotel is fine for the price and they did upgrade me to a suite, but it is very difficult to appreciate anything if the room is freezing. They don't have central heating, although I would expect a steam radiator type of heating at this price range. They didn't even have any portable space heater, and when asked they gave me the excuse that they have none because all their portable heaters are broken. This is completely unacceptable when the outside temperature is hitting close 0 degrees Celsius! Back in USA, in this situation (which is extremely unlikely in the first place), they would made arrangements for me to stay at another better hotel nearby at no additional cost to me. That would be good service -- not just helping to carry my luggage, which I can do.

We loved this hotel - the rooms are comfortable and the en-suite bathrooms are great. The place is very clean and bottled water and toiletries (really impressed to see that they were cruelty free) are provided. The wi-if is excellent and you even receive a newspaper each morning. Best of all everyone who works there is friendly and helpful. We could not have asked for more from this hotel. We look forward to our next stay.
