From the front desk to the waitstaff in the restaurant, everyone was friendly and could communicate with us as we didn’t speak much German. The food was very good at the restaurant and the location was right in the middle of town. If you’re from the states and used to cold A/C you’ll have to let that go and enjoy the “light” A/C. I highly recommend this hotel in Deggendorf.

Friendly and great breakfast with really fresh food. The pool was nice for an early morning wake up. The bar on Saturday were so helpful too. We felt very welcome.

Brilliant hotel
Lovely hotel, we have been staying here for over 5 years now and it never disappoints! Hotel is right downtown Deggendorf, walking distance to stores and Restaurants. Whenever I stay in Deggendorf, I try to stay at Hotel Höttel, by fare the best hotel in the area. Sure there are very nice wellness hotels in the Bavarian Forest, but they cost twice as much. Staff: Very nice and helpful staff, from the receptionist to the waiter in the restaurant. Room: Nice classic rooms, with very comfortable bed and good size bathroom. I personally liked that the rainfall shower had good water pressure. Food: Awesome breakfast buffet with local products. Also, I recommend to have lunch or dinner at the hotel. The food in the restaurant is excellent. Amenities: The hotel has a small but beautiful Spa/Wellness area, with a rooftop pool "Sky Pool", saunas and relaxing zone. You also can book different types of massages. I definitely come back to Hotel Höttel.

I got one of the non-renovated rooms in a very noisy corridor. The way this hotel is laid out is quite inconvenient. The hotel is OK otherwise, although staff are not super nice. The location is by far the best thing about this place
