Enjoy the coziness of a mid-century modern building only 1.5 blocks from The Greene Towne Center - 125+ restaurants, bars, upscale shopping, theaters, and more. Get away for a weekend or get away from generic boring hotel business travel. The Getaway follows Enhanced Cleaning Protocol through Airbnb for your safety.

We can help with anything you need during your stay, but do prefer reasonable business hours 8:00am to 6:00pm. Of course in an emergency, we can be reached and would be happy to help. We send detailed unit check in and access instructions at typical intervals in advance of your arrival.

This location is on a corner of a neighborhood and a main road in area East Kettering. Easy access via I-675 & OH35 to WPAFB, USAF Museum, Wright State, Cedarville University or to downtown Dayton where you will find the University of Dayton, Victoria Theatre, The Schuster Performance Arts Center, many microbreweries and multiple fine dining restaurants. Just ask me and I will guide you!

Free covered parking behind the unit. Best transport is via personal vehicle, but bus lines are close and naturally Uber and other ride share services are in the area.

Getaway II is a full single bedroom first floor apartment that has been well maintained and completely updated in late 2021. We own the whole building and take pride in offering a tasteful, clean, safe place close to so much in Dayton. We visit the property personally regularly and are very attentive to the condition, decor, and clientele. We decorate and manage our units in a manner that we would stay in as guests, so you can be assured we are ethical, reasonable, fair, and will be grateful for your stay.

Best transport is via personal vehicle, but bus lines are close and naturally Uber and other ride share services are in the area.

Please know our place is in a busy residential neighborhood that is safe, well maintained, but bustling. You will be close to a lot of shopping, restaurants, and just minutes from I675. Convenient to so much, but definitely not hidden off in the sticks!

Damage Waiver will be applied to each reservation ($50).

If you are bringing a Pet, there is a charge of $100 per stay for 1 pet. (we reserve the right to charge extra for more than 1 pet). No cats, the owner is highly allergic to them.

Lastly, We love to welcome last minute guests, our company hours are from 8am to 6pm. If a same day reservation comes in during those hours, we will do what we can to accommodate you. We do charge an additional $200 security deposit which will be refunded back within 7 days after checkout if no damage occurs. We also reserve the right to charge $45 for late check-in.

Beware
Property was older and the pictures made it appear much better than it was. Location was not @ The Greene but probably a 10-15 walk. It wasn’t filthy but not particularly clean. The main issue with the cleanliness was an odor that seemed to be a mix between cigarettes and smell of the coin laundry that was located just outside the entrance to the unit. The smell permeated the whole place. It was also very damp as a result of the inadequate portable A/C units. Actually one of them in bedroom had a drain into a bucket to capture the condensate and required us to empty. Using the hair dryer tripped the breaker and after contacting the manager I was informed the breaker box was in a closet in the hall and to not run the A/C while operating hair dryer. We also were allocated JUST2 towels, 1 hand cloth, 1 wash cloth and a make up towel for our 5 DAY STAY. Contacting the manager for additional towels was fruitless. All I received was an argument and an attitude. It seemed as if I wasn’t the paying customer.
