Hobson’s Choice is where I stay when I have to overnight in Dargaville as they have kept up their standards over the years. Each time I am there they have some small improvement and this time it was a heat pump in the room.

1) Parking No designated parking lost parking directly out front of unit as other customers park in your spot. Very Inconvenient Parkjng should be lined out with Unit number gor parallel parking 2) Bed - Most uncomfortable mattress I have ever slept on it was terrible sleeping straight on bed wire !!! 3) Shower - Operated as a trickle no shower pressure - dissapointing experience 4) Location was great easy access to shopping motor way, central sight seeing

Great place to stay on an overnighter in Dargaville. Older motel but my room was very comfortable with great bed, cooking facilities, great heating. Service was excellent.

We did not get the room with a spa we booked instead we had a disability’s room with no spa. When you turned on the heat pump it had a stick like cigarettes. I rate this as poor and I would hope there is some compensation for what room we ended up with on Expedia as it was nothing like what we booked.

This is the 3rd time I’ve stayed at the Hobson. The rooms are a little outdated but everything you need is there. The area around the pool is nice. There is laundry on site which was convenient for me. It’s close enough to the shops that you can easily walk downtown. The staff are excellent; friendly & helpful.
