Comfort Inn & Suites Calhoun South is either recently built or recently remodeled. The photo that you see is exactly how it looks. Our room, two queen room, was clean and had a modern feel to it. It had usb ports, so you don't have to carry a block to charge your phones. The bathroom was clean and updated. We had our dog with us, and the room was quiet and smelled good. So this is a dog friendly hotel, but you wouldn't know it. They do charge a $20 pet fee, but it is well worth it. There is a Longhorn Steakhouse and Applebee's within walking distance. Highly recommend this place.

We were given the handicap room but we are not handicapped. It was right by the back door with people going in and out all night. It kept me awake all night. Plus, you could hear the water running when any of the rooms around us used it.

Kind and helpful people. The floor had some very sticky spots by the microwave, right at the entrance, which our shoes and socks (when in just socks) really stuck to. Sink counter didn't look super clean. We did have a good night, and the breakfast was decent. There is an empty corner in tue room with an outlet that really needs a lamp. With every light on it was quite a dark room.

We felt like we got duped. I had seen the average reviews at 8.4 and assumed the property was above average. It was not. Looked back at the reviews later and realized most were phoney with 10/10 ratings.Given the amount we paid, we felt like we got taken. From the substandard cleaning, pool out of service, tape holding the elevator up/down indicators, garbage bags in the hall etc, there is no way this hotel rated more than a 5/10. We will not choose this hotel chain again.

This hotel stay was very uncomfortable. Everything was dirty, and broken, in the room. Tried to turn the heat on and a terrible burning smell emitted. Many items in the room seemed as if they hadn’t been cleaned in a while. Staff was lacking customer service skills.
