Aloft Plano is a decent value for the price. Saying that, they used to be pet friendly for free but now they have a $40 surcharge for pets. This was not advertised or expected so I am disappointed in that. This was a big reason we stayed at the Aloft historically but will likely look to see if other hotels in the area are more pet friendly without a big surcharge in the future.

The staff was 5 stars and all were friendly and helpful. I was here for work and stayed at this hotel due to the close proximity to where I was going to be working for a few days. The lobby and common areas were all very nice. Once I got to my room, it smelled moldy. I went right back downstairs and requested a new room. The employee was really kind and helpful and put me on another floor. I was disappointed when that room also smelled moldy. I could see that there was mold in the shower and it looked there there were spots on the ceiling that had been cleaned in the bedroom area. There was no way to crack the windows to allow fresh air in. I will be traveling to the area for business once a quarter and given the moldy smell, I will be choosing to stay at a different hotel on my next visit.

The hotel is surrounded by fields, but there are some long horn cattle just up the road. I like that they replaced the iron and ironing board with a steamer, but the steamer was not very good and didn't do a great job. Hotel was nice and clean and all the staff I interacted with were very friendly. he free shuttle (within 5 miles) is a nice bonus. There is NOTHING within a reasonable walking distance for anything (food/shopping/etc.)

Clean and well maintained room. No odd or foul odors or stains. No sign of bugs. Linens and towels smell and look fresh, they are free of stains and none show any signs of wear/tear. Front desk, hotel dining and rec area are clean and well maintained. Staff is always friendly and available. Hotel staff stay consistent with their people as the multiple time I have stayed over a long period of time I see the same people working. It gives it a safe feel and it feels like they are all genuinely kind and happy. Staff is 10/10 every single person here is fabulous. Surrounding area consistent of M-f offices and a small ranch with beautiful Texas long horns, and DART station. Hotel is pet friendly with a VERY REASONABLE pet fee. When walking your dog you can walk by the ranch and see the beautiful long horn bulls as long as you keep a safe and respectful distance. On a major road but you wouldn't be able to tell from inside your room. All rooms are very quiet. Air conditioning unit is top notch and turns your room into an ice box just in time for Texas summer.. multiple stays so far and I'll continue to book this location without considering any other options unless prices become unaffordable. Currently well priced and just the top of my budget. Well enough amenities to make me pay.

Never judge a book by its cover!!!! It looked clean but it was not. We checking in and the guest representative called housekeeping to confirm our room was clean and it wasn’t…. We was in the room for 19 mins and my son picked up a bottle and thought it was my lotion… it’s was KY Jelly Lubricant and then I started to examine the bed and it was stains. They changed the room however I had to explain to my kid what he picked up and I couldn’t get the nasty vision out of my head. That really made me uncomfortable and ruin our stay.
