A couple acres nestled in the Mangroves and Palms amidst the Ozello Keys! Reach the Gulf and some of the best fishing 🐟in minutes! Enjoying the evening watching the sky change colors around the fire 🔥 as the sun goes down! Dark sky great for gazing at night. 🌅 This cottage includes a small boat launch, a canal around 3 quarters of the property, 2 kayaks (a singular and a double), 2 canoes, fishing poles, reading materials, several board games, bumper pool, and poker table with playing cards. There is a television in the living room and each bedroom with Roku streaming and Netflix included. The kitchen has an convection/oven, stove, microwave, refrigerator/freezer, Keurig coffee maker, blender, toaster and griddle, etc. Outdoor cooking is available with our smoker/grill. Laundry room with washer and dryer. Clean your catch at the cleaning station by the canal on the property. Local bait shops and several Delicious Waterfront Restaurants within 2.5 miles. Nearby activities include fishing, boating, scalloping, swimming with the manatees, kayaking, bird watching, wildlife viewing, marina, snorkeling, scalloping, air boat tours, golfing, shopping, Homosassa Wildlife Park, and more.

Labor Day Getaway
Awesome long weekend getaway. No issues whatsoever with any part of our trip, from communication to the property itself. Even better in person than in pictures. Cute little property in ozello
We were looking for a quiet get away for a few days and the Driftwood Cottage was the perfect pick. Clara was very quick to respond to my messages. The property was clean and everything we needed. A hidden gem!

Refreshing retreat
This was such a nice quiet hideaway after our busy weekend at the beach. Clara was very thoughtful and provided all things needed to enjoy the wonderful nature that crystal river offers. The house was beautifully decorated and clean. The kayaks and canoes were easily accessible with a private boat launch. The dock was used by the kiddos to cast a fishing line. Our youngest had a blast catching crabs and lizards. We didnt see any gators, but at night we could hear all the nature come to life. The busy city and beaches can be overstimulating, so this was a nice pause before we continued our adventures in Orlando. We hope to return in the near future and highly recommend this destination to those looking for the old Florida style feels.

Lovely Fishing Cottage
This property is private, serene, and offers convenient access to surrounding fishing. Our 14’ jon boat was a bit too big for the on property launch, but navigated the canals with ease. We launched at the nearby public boat ramp and moored to the dock at the property during our stay. The home was very comfortable and I particularly appreciated the well equipped kitchen. Thank you for creating the perfect space for a our weekend birthday getaway!

Really nice and secluded place. Everything was clean and finding the property was easy. Plenty of room for boat and trailer on the property. The “boat launch” is for smaller boats or canoes, not a big deal cause there are several boat ramps close by I had a 18 foot jon boat that navigated the canal fine you might have trouble with boats over 21 foot getting to the dock as the canal is very narrow. Over all very happy with our stay and definitely will be coming back.

Wonderful vacation
We totally enjoyed this property for 6 days and it was so fun and relaxing. We kayaked every day right from the boat ramp located on the property. Access to the water was extremely easy. We loved the wooden swing located onsite with a wonderful view of the waterways. The outdoor shower was a dream. The house was extremely clean and the televisions were huge. The Hosts provided so many helpful items to make our vacation enjoyable.

It was exactly what we were hoping for. The past couple of years we had been staying at another place, only a few blocks away. But, the host for whatever reason would not put in a sufficient air conditioner. So we wrote that place off, but still wanted to stay in the area. This place was perfect. We basically just go fishing everyday so some of the things I look for and need are different than most. Air conditioning was great. Three units. They have multiple exterior outlets…that work. Two outsides hoses that were both high quality. Plenty of parking and it was pretty easy to turn around in there with the boat hooked up. Accurate listing, honest host, easy communication. We love the fishing down there and we have a new place to stay. Steve

Rural fishing get away
This place was perfect for us as we are not theme park people. We wanted to take our 7 yr old Grandson on a fishing trip and this was perfect as boats and paddles were provided. The property extends to a point at an inlet where fish seem to congregate. We caught red drum, mangrove snapper, catfish, and a flounder without trying very hard. The house was very cozy and accommodating with a television in each room. I was happy to see a full size coffee maker as well as a one cup. Plenty of dishes etc. We basically had everything we needed for a wonderful vacation. Homasassa Wildlife refuge was a nice day trip also, and we enjoyed the beach at Fort Island on another day. Wonderful area off the beaten path.

Quiet time away from a busy life.
This is our second visit to this lovely town and home. This home has everything you need. They make it feel like a home away from home. When you enter the property you feel like you have come to your own little island away from everyone. We appreciate the coffee bar and the fire pit. We also loved our own boat entrance to explore the water and fishing. Thanks for the memories.

Peaceful Oasis on Nature Coast
This is the real Florida: mature trees, mangroves, abundant wildlife. We loved the ability to access to launch one of the well maintained canoes or kayaks. Clara has created several outdoor sitting areas on her 1.5 acre property to relax and observe. The house is sparkling clean, cleanest rental we have ever stayed in and well stocked. Every room is very cozy, including the bed. Clara really paid attention to every detail making our stay both easy and comfortable. Clara is a wonderful host and most responsive. Would love to stay again but longer next time!

We enjoyed our time at this beautiful property! It was very clean and stocked with all the necessities (and then some!) My son enjoyed fishing off the dock and my daughter and I enjoyed kayaking in the canal. The only reason I removed a star for the accuracy of listing was because it had a hot tub in the original listing however apparently this was a VBRO error and there in fact was not a hot tub on the property.

Modern comfort in a quiet rural backwater
I wish we could have stayed longer. This is an exceptionally clean and well appointed holiday home in a peaceful yet easy to reach location. We loved the canoes and kayaks, enjoyed cooking and eating in the modern kitchen, and appreciated the efficient air-con when it was 98 degrees outside!
