Berry Cottage is full of character and ticks all the boxes for guests to enjoy a fantastic time away in the heart of this picturesque Pembrokeshire village.

With 4 bedrooms sleeping 8 people, including a ground-floor bedroom and bath/shower room makes Berry Cottage ideal for multi-generation families to enjoy a break away together. The cottage also boasts an impressive log burner set in a beautiful old fireplace; private, off-road parking and an enclosed south-facing garden which is ideal to let kids and pets run around.

Walking in through the front door, to the left and ahead are the ground floor bathroom and bedroom while to the right is the galley kitchen which comes well-stocked with all the amenities required to cook up a feast, including a coffee maker and coffee pods for your morning brew.

Through the kitchen is the open-plan dining/living area with comfy leather sofas, the characterful fireplace and a 45" smart TV which supports a Netflix login. The patio doors open up in to the perfectly-proportioned garden which is completely enclosed with views out over the village and Preseli mountain range beyond.

Climbing the stairs, guests can find the master bedroom, a second double bedroom and a twin bedroom as well as the second bathroom. Each bedroom has been individually decorated and the linens and mattresses carefully chosen for a peaceful night's sleep.

Berry Cottage is ideally placed to enjoy everything that Pembrokeshire is famous for. Only a short drive from Newport Sands or Ceibwr Bay, during the summer guests can make the most of the sandy stretches to build sandcastles and enjoy an ice-cream. In the autumn and winter months they're the ideal place for long walks to blow to cobwebs away. Slightly further afield, the towns of Fishguard and Newport have many pubs and restaurants which guests can enjoy.

Good yet short of greart
The property is lovey and it does what it said on the tin. The proposition worked for our 3 generation family reunion. Not much to do on the small town (as expected) but near Cardigan / Fishguard / Newport so all good with cars. Two experience points made this stay short of great: 1. The pre-arrival clarity of detail was limited for our plannning; and the ease of access to call / communicate with the property manager (Finest Retreats) was not obviously available. 2. We were charged £30 for not having cleaned the BBQ when did was not the case, I know we left the BBQ in similar if not better condition than when we arrived. I made this point back to FinestRetreats only to hear back that the charge was taken. Underwhelming and unnecessary to dent the experience of their clients for 30 pounds I would say

Idyllic cottage
Lovely cottage, bedrooms were Excellent in size, storage, space and cleanliness We stayed for a long weekend and took along our family of 5 (2 x adults, 3 children age 3,5&8) plus 2 x other adults . House perfectly equipped, would stay again and recommend Great location. Car needed but close to everywhere

Lovely cottage with absolutely everything you needed , spotlessly clean and beds very comfortable Great enclosed garden which great for our dog , lovely rattan furniture and bbq The only criticism I have was that the floorboards upstairs creek a lot which was a problem if you were sleeping in the downstairs bedroom as it woke you up , but probably can’t be helped due to the age of the property Overall a very lovely place There were snacks , bubbly and slippers waiting for us on arrival too !
