We were moved over to the Best Western due to a problem with the lodge. The staff were excellent and the hotel is modern and comfortable.

Our room was cold and drafty. The radiator was off and the noise from passing trains and lorries was loud. Not a good nights sleep and it all felt really cold and unwelcoming
The service and cleanliness of the hotel was excellent. It caters.very well for walkers as it has a dry room.
* we got.swapped.from listed accommodation to across the road at the Best Western Hotel
reception and restaurant staff were professional friendly and helpful.

This property is offered as a B & B it is effectively an annex to the hotel. When you book a B & B one of the benefits is the welcome and hospitality of the hosts, there were none you are left entirely on your own !!! We sat outside for one hour waiting for somebody to arrive, on our third attempt we noticed a little message in the right hand window that told us we had to go and check in at the hotel opposite.
On checking in we were far from happy when they demanded full payment before we had even been allowed to enter it.
Every time we needed support or info we had to cross a very busy road and unfortunately most of the time in the rain.
Also the views of the property on your web site include rooms that one has no access to, i.e the lounge and a dining room where one assumes you have breakfast. On trying the doors in the hall they were all locked but my attempt caused a dog to bark, there was obviously somebody else on the premises.
With regards to the accommodation itself it was OK but a difficult to classify as a superior accommodation. The shower was worrying a very smooth/slippery base with no mat, and no facilities to hold any soap or shower jell etc within the cabinet.
THIS WAS NOT A BED AND BREAKFAST IT A HOTEL ANNEX WITH A CHALLENGING ACCESS.
I trust you will include this report in your recent customer reviews and also amend your web site to accurately reflect what you are offering !
Although I booked to stay in Glenbruar, when we checked in at the Best Western Hotel, as your instructed, we were given a room in that hotel instead which was very good.

Room far too warm. Disappointing experience in restaurant. We were meant to be staying in the Glenbruar house across the road but on arrival were "upgraded to a premier room". Room was far from premier!
We booked to stay in Glenbruar House, but we were actually put into the Crianlarich Hotel. Apparently they only use the house as a Hotel overspill. The Hotel was fab though x
upgraded to the best western hotel, great room, comfortable bed and lovely meal in the restaurant and breakfast was very good value. The staff were very friendly and helpful would happily stay again.
The Glenbruar House was a 2 minute walk across the road to the Great Western Crianlarich Hotel for check in and food.
Staff were helpful.
The accommodation was comfortable and clean and everything I needed for my stay.
The location is ideal for a base to explore the local scenic countryside, although I was there for business.
A one night stay in this house owned by the Best Western opposite. Bed and linen were brilliant. Thought the price had included breakfast but it didn't so bought food elsewhere. Railway enthusiasts would love the view of the trains passing the window
We had a great stay! Lovely staff and very local feel. We stayed in the cottage and there is a lot of heavy traffic during the day and evening - however the night are quite. Very nice restaurant at the hotel.
