Terra Cottage at the 5-acre Earthly Oasis is a beautiful, private earthship with a bonus vintage trailer in a tranquil and inspired setting. Spacious and earth-friendly, it's an off-grid, desert oasis 10 minutes from Crestone.
Rustic flagstone flooring complement the aspen tongue and groove ceiling, allowing the natural world to seamlessly blend into this unique home.
Full kitchen, dining area, living room, and dedicated workspace with 20 meg internet. Wood and propane fireplaces. Shared courtyard with breathtaking views of Crestone Peak.
We're 10 minutes from downtown Crestone. Including Terra Cottage, the five-acre property has three separate units joined around a shared courtyard. Constructed in 2001 and fully renovated in 2022.
Guests have access to Terra Cottage, a 1 bedroom/1 ba earthship with a full kitchen, eating area, living room, and workspace. New in 2025, includes private use of the Groovy Wanderer, a gazebo-covered mid-century modern trailer. The Wanderer is a sheltered hangout/dining/bonus space to help guests comfortably connect with Crestone's outdoor majesties.
Co-host Thomas lives on site in his own casita and is available for questions and support.
During your stay at this vacation home, you'll be close to Baca Grande Park. You'll find features like laundry facilities. A kitchen and a fireplace are available in the vacation home.

Simply Peaceful and Quiet

It's a rare treat to be on acres of land and open space such that surrounds this home. More than anything, the house has a peaceful, welcoming feel. Not too fancy schmancy, but not run down. It was very clean, which is often a wild card with short rentals. I enjoyed the unimpeded views of the Sangre de Cristos as well as the range on the other side of the valley. Crestone has not one but two grocery stores, and a hardware store! I guess my only warning is: Bring your own honey. Of the spices and staples the hosts provide at this house, I did not find sugar or honey.
