I travel 6 months out of the year. I stay at all kinds of properties. I just started using Expedia and chose this property over my usual BnB choices. I regretted that. I stayed for 4 nights total so I think I had a good amount of time to experience the hotel property. Cleanliness was decent with the exception of the carpet. Stains on the floor by the bed and it needs to be replaced. Wifi worked great so thank you for that. Noise levels were horrific. I was told upon checkin (NOT at the time of booking within a cancelation window) that I would have a room right above the pub and the music would be so loud they put ear plugs in the room! Well how do I watch tv or make phone calls with ear plugs in? It was that way for 3 of the 4 nights. Add to it the drunken yelling, swearing and hollering of its patrons right outside the window until late into the night. I just came from two different city hotels in Canada with pubs and had realistic city noice levels for the location and some minimal background music. This hotel was terrible. What is the point in saying anything? They obviously don't care, they just warn you when you come and tell you to use the ear plugs. Unbelievable. Never in all my years of travel have I experience a hotel that did this. I am shocked at the number of positive reviews because of this? Shocking that I would expect to be able to rest in my hotel without having to don ear plugs. I will be back in Creston again soon and will definitely choose elsewhere.

The staff were friendly, the room was clean and comfortable size. Dinner in Jimmy's pub was good. We had fun with some patrons watching the World Series game winning the championship.

We were warned about noise on both Expedia and at the desk. Our room was directly above the bar. It was music bingo night, so although the music could be heard it wasn’t offensive. We were pleased with our choice, but I would recommend checking there was no live music during your stay, before booking.

I got scalded in the shower and fell, bruising some ribs. The hot water shifted fro warm to scalding in a heartbeat. In my attempts tomget out of the spray I slipped and fell. There are no signs warning of this hazard. There are balancers that are easily installed on old water systems to prevent this kind of incident, and when I tried to talk to someone in the hotel, noone answered the phone. On top of that the fire door protecting the stairwell is blocked open all day, further putting guests in a heritage building at increased risk. As much as I love this property, I will explore other options on my many trips through and to Creston.

Some unpleasent smell. Also the widow frame is not sealed and loose from the frame, letting outsid air and noise coming in. The room is clean and renewed

Older but well-maintained and comfortable hotel, really has a cosy charm to it. Great pricing and location, perfect stay for a night when passing through Creston. Would definitely stay again!
