2 night stay at Tumbledown
I would not call this property a luxury rental - more like rustic charm. Finding the property when it’s dark outside is difficult, the instructions were not really easy to follow. The property guide provided had the wrong internet password so I had to bug the owner. She was very responsive and helped right away. The kitchen and bathrooms had been updated and were nice. We liked the sunroom off the balcony, but that was the only place to eat. I wish the furniture in front of the fireplace had been a bit more comfortable. It’s very dated and not so cozy to sit and enjoy the fire. The beds were comfortable and the rooms upstairs nice, but a steep climb up the stairs to the second level. Same for the stairs entering the property. We had a lot of bags so it was a little challenging. The location was pretty remote, but the views of the countryside were really nice!

Amazing beautiful quiet luxury in a historic setting
The house is quaint but modern, has all the amenities, the tub and shower are spa level, and the host was helpful with anything (as were the lovely neighbors who greeted us briefly). I loved this house so much - I want to buy one just like it. Thank you for an incredible short but wonderful trip!

Stunning views and fantastic location!
We had the most amazing stay at Tumbledown Cottage! The views are outstanding and the cottage itself is perfect for a relaxing stay. We found everything we needed in the kitchen to cook up great local produce from the many farm shops Isla kindly recommended- enjoying the view while we ate in the conservatory. The proximity to Bath, nature, and the Cotswolds can’t be beat. Isla provided a lot of local info and recommendations that we took advantage of too and was great with communication. We would highly recommend staying here and can’t wait for a future visit! Thanks Isla!

Spectacular view
This lovely cottage is on a hillside that overlooks a beautiful valley. We enjoyed sitting in the conservatory to relax in the morning or after a day site seeing. When the sun is out the conservatory can get a little to hot. There are a lot of stairs to manuver, but in spite of that we the many stairs we loved our stay.

We had a wonderful stay in this lovely home. Located for easy access to Bath and the Cotswolds ... would absolutely stay there again. The conservatory, with its wonderful views, was our favorite place to eat, hang out and play cards. It was simply beautiful!

Bath weekend
The property was well placed for access to Bath with only a short drive to the city centre. The views from the property were very picturesque. Unfortunately we did find the steps down to the property very steep and covered in leaves which made them slippery. We think we would have felt a bit safer if there was a hand rail as some of the people in our party were over 75.

Beautiful cottage with idyllic views. Built on a country lane with 3-tiered garden (not suitable for some). Was lovely that it was dog-friendly. Easy drive to Chippenham, Trowbridge, Avebury, Salisbury and the lovely countryside. Convenient washer/dryer, dishwasher and fridge/freezer. Just lovely!
