This ocean-facing OBX home is located only 400 feet from the beach with views of both the ocean and the sound, especially from the widow's walk.

If you are not up for the ocean, relax at the 16 x 32 pool and the 6-person hot tub. After swimming, rinse off in the outside hot water shower by the carport located outside the bottom level sitting room. Kids and the "young at heart" can immediately access the TV, wet bar, fridge, microwave, and stereo here. There is deck access on 3 sides including a screened porch with a dining table overlooking the pool area. Grill meals on the charcoal grill or eat in while relaxing and enjoy dinner at the 10-person great room dining table or at the 6-person counter area. Wi-Fi is provided for those who must check into the office while on vacation. Free long distance! The pool may be heated for a $375 weekly fee in spring and fall. This home is kid-friendly! Experience what the Northern Outer Banks has to offer!

Great location - close to public beach access

Overall we had a wonderful time staying at this home. It is a bit run down from the wear and tear from being a rental home and the interior was mostly clean albeit quite outdated. The exterior could use a good power washing & fresh paint as there was a lot of webs etc. throughout. But we had an absoltely wonderful time here and felt comfortable with the accomodations as listed by the owner. The proximity to the beach was our favorite part as we could walk to the beach within a couple of minutes which was so great having some younger kids with us. We would happily stay here again.

Slice of heaven on the beach

Couldn’t have had a better stay. The house was amazing, just a block from the beach. Great porches to view sunrises and sun sets. Great location in Corolla. One of the best houses we’ve ever stayed at.

Perfect spot for two or three families with young kids.

The location of this home in proximity to the beach was perfect. The house itself was incredibly clean and well kept. While there were three active floors to the home… It was easy to navigate for our two year olds without assistance. Carpeted stairs with easy to grab railings meant that adults weren’t chasing the children up and downstairs the entire time. The kitchen had every cooking utensil and pot and pan we might have needed- probably more so (crock pot, electric griddles, stock pots, crab hammers…etc.) The communication about checking in early and checking out of the property was spot on. We would happily rent this home again. :)

Family beach vacation

Comfortable home suited our family very well. Kids loved swimming in the pool after a day at the beach. We loved riding our bikes around and the neighborhood ice cream truck. Seafood boil was one of the best dinners we had of the week. Kitchen had more than what we needed. It would have been nice if the lawn was mowed. Saw that some of the neighbors have nice lawns and volleyball sets…that would have been nice. Thank you for sharing your home with us.

OBX Whalehead drive

944 Whalehead Dr was perfect for our family. Easy walk to beach, great pool and hot tub. Lots of room for all. We brought a baby gate for the stairs from the living room, which was helpful. Would have appreciated having more gates in the house as we had a 15 month old.

Family beach vacation

Nice house for the whole family and pups to spread out and enjoy. Short walk to the beach, there were a lot of steps to get to the beach that could prove challenging for older guest. Towels and lines were provide which is definitely a plus, there weren’t any dish towels in the kitchen but we made due. Kitchen was roomy for multiple cooks and bakers at once. Over all my family had a great time and enjoyed the house very much. Another successful OBX vacation in the books.

Great Week at the Beach

We had a great time, it was a great location super close to the beach path and a short drive away from shopping, restaurants and water sports. The house itself was clean, the linens could use an upgrade for sure and clean chairs to sit on on the deck would have been ideal (it wasn’t worth calling about this, we just brought up our beach chairs). And the lack of toilet paper when we got there was a little chaotic (I forgot to pack mine so it was on us, but having a few rolls there would have made it easier after the long car trip). Overall it was great, a good size, a lot of outdoor space, pool was awesome and we had a great time,

Very pretty house - liked having bedrooms on all three levels. Very convenient to beach!

Great time! House was perfect for two families with teenagers. Just disappointed no kerig for coffee. Old coffee pot but no liners and propane ran out of gas for the grill. Other than that loved the house!

Perfect Beach Home

This home was perfect. Location was amazing. Very close to the walkway to the beach and to the grocery store. This home was so spacious. Bedrooms were perfect size. Kitchen had everything you need. Pool had perfect temperature. Only thing our hot tub was out of service the whole time. We would definitely rent this home again.

Clean and close

This is a great property, we had 11 people 4 adults and 7 kids. They all enjoyed the week. Beach was very close, about one block and the pool was great. Afternoon sun for swimming into the night. Bedrooms were all good sizes and the kitchen was perfect. Lots of counter space.
