Ok so we booked this place last minute and were scared after seeing there were no reviews. So we will be the first!
The good:
The view is amazing. You are right on the ocean, secluded at the end of a court with brush on both sides of the house so keep some distance. They are definitely doing repairs as the exterior of the home has new siding and beautiful 2 story deck. Pet friendly was a bonus for us. Interior is about half done, but still nice given the view and the price point. It doesn’t say in description but linens, towels, beach chairs, fishing rod holder and boogie boards were all there. Outdoor shower and hose were also very convenient. Super convenient to shopping and meals. Again, this place is right on the ocean just steps away and the deck is high enough for a beautiful view.
The bad:
Bathrooms are dated. The steps to the ocean are covered up with sand pretty high. You kind of step off even with the top of the dune so it presents a challenge with a cooler, anyone with mobility issues or carrying babies. We notified them and they did send someone to clear the steps, but that person only cleared level with the sand. This is not enough to deter us from coming back, but it’s something people should know.
Overall we enjoyed 2024 OBX stay. Corolla has plenty to do with food, shopping and breweries. This place is a hidden gem given the price point. Our family stayed in Currituck Club and ended up at our house every day for easy beach access and plenty of parking.
