Really stunning views and a great place for the price!! We booked without a huge amount of research for about €23 each per night. So, I was pretty worried going over that we had booked some grimy, run down place. We were really pleasantly suprised by the size of the "studio" and our balcony. The room itself was really large, just a bit smaller than our 1 bed apartment at home. The balcony was really large and had gorgous views. Shower was hot, reasonably powerful, cleaners tidied up every day, towels changed every 2nd day, no bugs and really good, powerful air con. The pool is true to pictures. A small-ish seating area but really nicely done relaxing sun bed/bar area. The pool was amazing, especially with the sea views!! Overall an astounding little place for a very low price. The hill is steep enough but manageable and only takes 5-10 minutes up and the views are totally worth it. I was also a bit nervous about Agios Gordis but it turned out to be a very beautiful resort, with a stunning sandy beach wedged between hills slopping into the valley that is compact enough that you get to know it but big enough it's a proper town. There are maybe 20+ restaurants and more bars a lot on the seafront and the place had a bit of charm. Not like a magaluf strip at all. The bus into Corfu town goes a couple of times a day for €2.40 so it was really accessible, no need for a car. It was the relaxing couples holiday we wanted and would happily go back/recommend to a friend.

Nice hotel - shame about Corfu

Pros: Clean and basic - but comfortable. Lovely hosts.
Cons: WiFi connectivity, perhaps some more comfortable pillows.
Location: Pretty but boring. No good if you want to learn new stuff and explore history/culture. Corfu seems too dirt poor to concern itself with such things
Great hosts - Spiros and Maria very obliging and Spiros does airport transfers and took us to Palaiokastrisa to rent a boat for the day, and organised car rental for a couple of days. Hotel is very clean and has a nice pool and loungers. WiFi is a real issue - it cuts in and out every 30 seconds or so, despite our comments and requests to reset etc. If you run a business, like I do, that's an issue - or you can just see it as a break away from the connected world. Agios Gordis is probably one of the prettier villages on the island. Corfu, however, is looking seriously tired and sorry for itself. It reminded me very much of our recent return to Zimbabwe. Corfu is without doubt third world now. Prices for food and general stuff were eye-watering at times - comparable to central London - while quality is generally poor. So it was a double whammy of high cost and low quality. I can take the latter and I've travelled extensively around the world, experiencing all sorts of conditions. But to pay top dollar for it in on an island that is just OK and doesn't really offer much besides rented sun-loungers on cramped beaches - no thanks. It just isn't special enough. One tip - rent a car for the day and go to Lidl in Corfu Town. Stock up there and you'll easily save the cost of car rental just in the shopping savings. You can also walk around the town, which is pleasant, if mediocre.

Hôtel bien situé superbe vue sur la mer et le couché du soleil. Personnel très agréable et accueillant. Petit bémol le ménage est vraiment superficiel. Serviettes chargées tous les 2 jours mais les lits ne sont ni changé ni fait.
