While the hotel staff were very nice and accommodating, the room we stayed in is suffering from old age and lack of care. I know that there were some “pardon our dust” signs because the hotel is receiving renovations, but a lot of the problems I saw were dirty floors and black-spotted caulking in the bathroom. There was also food from a previous guest in the fridge and the tv remote had some kind of gunk on it. There curtains were also improperly installed.
The new fixtures in the bathroom and wallpaper behind the beds only made the room look worse instead of better. A good vacuum on the carpet and a scrub on the tiles might’ve helped.
The beds were very comfortable but the pillows were small and overstuffed.
I stay in hotels quite often and this is probably one of the worst I’ve been in at this price point. Next time I stop in Columbia, I’ll probably just stay at the LaQuinta next door.
The room is filthy i checked in from out of state around 5 to change clothes & go to an event. Before i left around 540 i told the clerk the room was filthy & would be back but she could have another room ready for me when i get back. I appreciate her but all the rooms was filthy i have plenty of pics to show from the time i checked in. Really want a refund
What a mistake to stay here!! While we understand it is under construction, the rooms were very musty. No room service !! When we called the front desk, we were told we had to request it, needless to say the tiny supplies in the bathroom are a one day use for 2 adults. What a waste of money with poor customer service.
Stay was good… except for the last night where there was too much noise… doors, bottles, laughs, smell of marihuana smell in the room adjacent to us until 1am.
The bathroom had black curly hair in the sink, the floor was sticky. The front desk clerks are left alone at night which seems inconsiderate for the employees and makes fast and efficient care/customer service unlikely. The remote didn’t go with my TV and the poor front desk clerk had to go back and forth 3 times to get one that worked.
