Close to many popular activities & attractions.
The Space:
As you roll up the long drive, this bright, welcoming home with its “mountain cottage” vibe will warm your heart. The basketball hoop in the driveway hints at even more fun within!
It’s larger than it looks. Because it’s tucked into a typical Colorado hillside, you’ll enter into the upper floor from the front door. An additional lower level fills out the gentle downward slope of the hill, providing a huge amount of living space with full-size windows and a walk-out to the back yard.
As you step through the front door, you’ll find yourself in a spacious foyer. Straight ahead, you’ll get a peek of the beautiful open-concept great room. To the side, you’ll notice two rooms, each with charming French doors. One is an office, the other a library.
The office is a pleasant, uplifting space for anyone working during their visit, with two desks and chairs positioned back-to-back beside a wonderful picture window.
The library’s built-in bookcases offer plenty of reading material, and a perfect reading chair, too! A table with two chairs makes a great place for a quiet game of checkers or mapping out the next day’s adventures.
Moving ahead into the great room, you’ll be wowed by the long row of picture windows providing a refreshing view of nature. The peaked wood-paneled ceiling and corner fireplace lend the space an unmistakable “mountain lodge” feel. An inviting sitting area with a sofa and chairs faces the fireplace and a TV.
This space is also occupied by a dining table for 6, standing close to the cozy warmth of the fireplace.
A glass-paned door leads out to a large deck with a collection of tasteful outdoor seating, an outdoor propane heater, and a grill. A set of stairs leads down to the back yard.
From the great room, whether seated on the sofa or at the dining table, you can enjoy a full view into the kitchen through a large cut-out in the wall with a serving ledge and include your hard-working cook-on-duty in conversation. A wide-open doorway allows you to pass easily into the kitchen and the breakfast book with its quaint table for 6, complete with a booster seat for an infant.
Preparing meals will be a pleasure in the attractive, well-equipped kitchen with its granite countertops and toasty wood cabinets. You’ll have the use of full-size appliances, including a large refrigerator/freezer, oven, cooktop, dishwasher and microwave. A coffee maker and electric tea kettle are also provided for an endless supply of soothing hot beverages. If you really love to cook, this home has you covered, right down to the chef’s knives and an array of specialty small appliances including a low cooker, air fryer, and more. You’ll find many of them in the huge walk-in pantry off of the kitchen.
Someone will be lucky enough to stay in the deluxe king bedroom suite with its beautiful 4-poster bed, electric fireplace, private outdoor deck, and private bath. If you’re staying with an infant, you’ll appreciate the glider and matching ottoman for singing sweet lullabies. The stunning private bath offers a long, 2-sink vanity, a soaking tub, and a separate glass-enclosed shower stall.
The additional bedrooms may be smaller and lacking private baths, but they’re all charmingly decorated and appointed for your comfort.
A bedroom with marbled wallpaper gives the feeling of being in a peaceful garden and is furnished with a queen bed and an antique dresser.
Yet another bedroom is strikingly feminine, with a lilac feature wall, queen bed, dresser, and a desk and chair for remote work, homework, or Zooming with friends.
You’ll also find a youthful, pretty bedroom decorated in turquoise and violet with a queen bed, dresser, and bookcase.
Ready for fun? Take the stairs down to the lower level where you’ll find an entertaining room that’s bound to become everyone’s favorite space. Here, you’ll find two sofas, each with two built-in recliners and cup holders. A TV watcher’s dream! (And yes, there’s a big wall-mounted TV, too.) Amble up to the full-size wet bar equipped with four bar stools or play a competitive game of pool. For little kids, you’ll find a collection of toys, and for older kids and adults, an entire closet stacked with games from bottom to top!
Also on this level you’ll find a convenient bathroom that includes a glass-enclosed shower. The toilet and shower are situated behind their own door, allowing for privacy if someone else wants to use the sink vanity at the same time.
The laundry room includes a full-size washer and dryer, iron and ironing board.
From the entertaining room, a door leads outside to a covered patio with a second grill. Out in the yard, you’ll find a large sandbox-like space with outdoor toddler toys and a fabulous fire pit tucked into a cozy corner with two long benches. A turf area provides additional space for play, and cornhole games are provided! Little ones will enjoy the play structure with a spiral slide!
