CJ Villas
CJ the owner is a very good man and he had some recommendations for me during my stay in Colombo. Location is really good, near everything in the main part of the city. Room was good, bed comfortable. I was a little sick so spent a lot of time in the room.

This is good for short stay, single traveler.
This is a small house which converted as hotel, the house I stayed it was 03 rooms hotel with shared bathroom. Think first before booking. But its highly priced.Room inside wifi coverage is poor, Hotel owner is tripical srilankan with mind set up NO in all aspect.:)

No fan and AC also wasn't working. No staff.
Though the sea facing room had a brilliant view, nothing else is great about this place. It was hot and there was no fan in the room. The AC was old and not working. We couldn't even sleep. The washroom didn't even have soap and there was not even a single staff person to assist us. Too expensive for nothing.

Nice but a bit noisy place
The place is very nice and clean, not so far from the city center. All is new and modern inside. The rooms that are facing to the ocean are very noisy. Main reason for it is that between the hotel and the ocean passing a highway and a railway, both active day and night. The owner did the effort to put some acoustic windows, but for some reason just on part of the windows, so the noise is still getting in and disturbing. The owner and the manager are very nice persons, helped us to order taxi and gave some advises about the city. Also allowed us late check out for a reasonable fee.

Perfect for an overnight
Stayed here with my adult son and wife overnight. Shared bathroom worked out fine and the fridge and kitchen downstairs made it easy to store the fruit we were carrying. Its right across from the ocean which is lovely, but on a busy street--not bad with the a/c on. Place was clean and comfortable. Had a bit of a problem finding someone to tell us where to go when we first arrived, and he didn't make much effort to help us get into the place, but other than that I liked the place and would stay again.

Close to the ocean
Very good location to see the ocean!! I enjoyed walking the coast. Breakfast is not provided as its regular operation though, the hotel is located near good local restaurants and shops. It takes 10 minutes to Mcdonald's on foot.  The shared shower room is not so clean and not so comfortable. The under of bed is a little bit dusty. Free Wi-Fi is provided.

Hi Sir i made booking with Hotel.com at CJ Villa for one night 10 april the booking no is 128892511048 then i go to colomo mid of night with 3 bags i reach front of the CJ hotel i dont find any body to opin the dooor one time they reply my calling and i tell them my name etc then he close the line after no body rplay my calling i nok the door many times no body replay or opin the door i wait at the street at 3 Am then i going to search for another hotel to sleep next day i truy to call them they say we are close that time and they shouting me and use very bad words regarding the arab etc i send many emails to Hotel.com tell them what happend no body replay me at this day allready they took the rent charge frome me also ii request the CJ hotel and the Hotel.com to refund my money again ys thry make very problem to me that day i rqust them to fefund my money but no body give good replay at least

Good choice for guesthouse in Colombo
CJ Villas is a great choice for a guesthouse if you're in Colombo for a few days. Seeing as there's not much to actually see in Colombo itself, this area is great for foreigners to use as a base while visiting different parts of the country. A 15 minute tuktuk ride to the main train station and the major sights in Colombo, and has a number of great local and foreign restaurants and shops within walking distance. The owner is very friendly and will give you tips on the best places in the area. The rooms themselves are clean and comfortable, excellent AC and wifi, and even though it's a shared bathroom, it's clean and was never an issue. Only downside is the train and traffic noise, although it quiets down between 12-7am and this is a problem in most busy parts of Sri Lanka.

Perfect for the first night in Sri Lanka
Very lovely host and clean rooms. We came straight from the airport and wanted to spend a night in Colombo before traveling further. The room was very clean and comfortable.

Der Besitzer ist sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit. Die Zimmer sind in Ordnung - nur zu Empfehlen, wenn man kein Frühstücker ist, da es kein Essen gibt im Hotel. Das Bad war mittelmäßig (Schimmel, da kein Fenster). Man sollte ein Zimmer nicht mit Meerblick nehmen, da es sehr laut ist (liegt an der Hauptstraße).

La zona era brutta, il bagno era in comune e sporco, la WiFi non funzionante...per non parlare della dell'arroganza offensiva e maleducata di uno dei due gestori. Ho vissuto un'esperienza molto sgradevole e, per la delicatezza della questione, preferisco non esporre qui le mie rimostranze bensì rendermi disponibile per chiarimenti mediante altri canali. Hyggeligt og komfortabelt
Vi overnattede 2 nætter på CJ Villas hvilket var rigtig fint for os, da vi lige skulle bruge et par dage til, at komme ovenpå efter flyveturen. Hotellet ligger dejligt ud til vandet, og i gåafstand til mange ting. Værterne var rigtig flinke og hjælpsomme mht. hvor man burde spise og hvad man burde se.

Veldig hyggelig bemanning og god service, samt flotte rom. Det var en flott balkong i toppetasjen som alle kunne bruke. Dette var veldog bra, men det var mye støy der. 9/10
