> Attached to the eponymous church, built in the thirteenth and eighteenth redesigned, it houses the town library since 1951, a case of the most beautiful ancient capital of the region with 1,200 manuscripts, 2,700 incunabula and 50,000 volumes centuries precedents. It is also a venue for exhibitions, concerts (Festival "off" Spivakov) and drama.
> Opening hours (depending on the season variables): Monday to Friday from 9h to 12h, from 14h to 18h (except Wednesday to Friday 18.30), Saturday from 10h to 16h continuous.
- The Synagogue Colmar:
  > The Jewish Community of Colmar wanted from the beginning of the nineteenth century, ceasing to pray in makeshift synagogues, such as inn rooms, and erect a place of worship worthy. Because of the extreme reluctance of the municipality, it was not until 1840 so the land can be acquired, the land on which the current synagogue was erected and inaugurated September 15, 1843.
> With a length of 33 meters and 20 meters wide, the synagogue of Colmar, Israelite Consistory headquarters of the Upper Rhine is built in a Neo-Romanesque style.
> Since its construction, it has experienced few changes: adding an additional gallery for women, replacing the central wooden platform by a platform of sandstone after World War II, the entire interior has been destroyed by the German occupiers who used it as a warehouse.
> Note that all the candelabra of the synagogue have a number of different branches of seven, because on one hand it is prohibited to reproduce the candelabrum of the temple of Jerusalem, and because the use of the candelabrum is for "Hanukkah "or festival of lights, which lasts eight days.
> One can also notice the existence of balconies, which are used in the offices where the tradition prescribes the separation between men and women, separation is intended to allow the necessary concentration to prayer.

Quaint building, close to Colmar center
We appreciated the kitchen and washer/dryer. There was ample room for 4 ladies. The entire downstairs was quite damp smelling (likely due to the location and age of building). We had difficulty locating the house. The pictures sent with the check in email were from several years ago and did not match the current building apperance. The master bedroom and the bath/shower room could use a really good cleaning. The remainder of the house was clean. Over all our stay was okay. was almost dark. The pictures

Step back in time in this charming 500 year old place!
We totally enjoyed our visit to this very charming location. The steps are quite steep and narrow so note that. The kitchen is well stocked. We found the sheets and towels to be a little rough to our liking otherwise we loved the location and the charm of the place.

Lovely stay and couldn't be more central
We all liked this house and found it comfortable. It was in an incredible location in the heart of beautiful Old Colmar which was a great jumping off point for exploring the city. We appreciated amenities like the washer and dryer and it did seem to have most essentials for cooking. The only thing I would recommend would be maybe saran wrap or something like that. The host was pleasant to communicate with and was quick to reply to any questions. We were there during one hot day and I found the middle floor and first floor did not get too hot, but the upper floor was somewhat hot, although fans were provided. All in all a great stay and I would recommend.

Location, location, location
This charming home is in the heart of little Venice. The neighborhood is so picturesque, you are surrounded by restaurants, pastry shops and just out your door is the place where you can purchase your tickets for the canal boat ride (but it remains quiet, peaceful & safe). You will not be disappointed by staying in this home. This house is impressively old (but comfortable with all expected modern amenities), quirky & full of character. Don’t let the steep, narrow stairs deter you- they add to the charm. The water pressure is great (a bonus to have a washer & dryer), had plenty of comfy beds for our party of 4 (could easily accommodate 3 more adults or a handful of kids with extra beds), and again, this location is so close to everything you’ll want to explore (covered market, creperie, bakery- with the most delicious, fresh croissants, shops, churches, parks, etc. It feels like you are staying in a postcard.

Wow
We had a delightful stay here. First, it’s just awesome to stay in such an historical place. People really are photographing it constantly. Second, it was clean and well thought out. The dryer actually dried my clothes. There were plenty of towels, laundry soap, TP, dish liquid, and instructions on how to work appliances. Great water pressure and hot water. I loved the decor. The location was perfect: a coffee shop is right next door, with great coffee and pastries. A Winstube across the small street. Go right when you leave and there is a take out flambé stand, plus 2 restaurants and the boat launch. Go left for a short walk to the covered market, a natural history museum and a less crowded walk around town. I love the amazing restaurant Bord’eau! A very special meal. The street is so central but not busy at night so noisy isn’t an issue. Just loved my stay here.

Nice visit to Colmar
We had a very nice stay in quaint Colmar. The location of this rental home was superb! The only slight challenge was parking but our host gave us a parking card to use at a local parking lot. Colmar is worth the visit!

Amazing location!
This place truly is in the heart of Little Venice and could not possibly be a more adorable neighborhood. Easy access to shops, restaurants, cafes and the covered market. Free parking in a garage about 10 min walk away (just as described in the listing!) was easy in and out, and we were able to park briefly on the main road to unload bags and people first. The only thing I would say is that the bathroom and stairs are in fact pretty small, as is surely totally reasonable for a house built in 1780! But it might be tough for taller folks in the bathroom and kids/older people should be careful on the stairs. But the bedrooms and living room are spacious and the furniture is comfortable. Definitely no regrets about booking and staying here!! The hosts were great communicators, fast, kind and detailed. Thank you again for everything!!

Center spot in Colmar
This house is right in the middle of the tourist pedestrian zone in La Petite Venice. It's funny to leave the house only to have tourists take photos of the house you were just in. The owner provides a parking pass to a nearby parking garage.

A delightful experience
This historic house is in the very center of Little Venice on a pedestrian street and is surrounded by lovely restaurants and cafes and very close to a wonderful market. There was plenty of room for the 5 of us who stayed there for 2 weeks. There is a single bedroom, bath and small well equipped kitchen on the ground floor. The toilet is separate from the bath/sink area which was great for accommodating several persons. On the next level is a large, bright living room with a queen bed and dresser at the back. Up a narrow winding stairway is the third level with 2 additional bedrooms with closets. Because of the central location, we did get noise from tourists on the street and the restaurant across the street when the windows were opened, but it was always quiet by 11 at night and did not bother us. There was reserved free parking in the nearby parking structure a short walk away. Raymond was great to deal with, promptly responding to our questions and needs. We were very happy with our choice of this property

A Home Run!
Colmar was a great little town to visit. It's like out of the fairy tale, with a medieval look as well as small canals winding through the streets. We stayed right in the old part of town, which we recommend. Our apartment was well equipped for our stay, with a large central room that had a comfortable sitting area and a nice big bed. The bath was on another floor but in good shape. There were only two of us but the house would accommodate three more people easily. The kitchen was small but efficient. Perhaps the best thing about it was the location -- right in the center of the old town area, which had a number of very good restaurants and a fantastic market where you could buy fresh food and such. Highly recommended.
