If you want a great hotel for a weekend away in collingwood and don't want to be near the village madness. This hotel is it. The rooms are HUGE, the restaurant in the hotel is AMAZING. You will love that you made the decision to stay at The Dochester

Great hotel, don’t try to check in early
Very cool hotel, great vibe comfort and style. Check in experience was not great, front desk staff was very rigid about 4pm check-in. We arrived at 3 and staff acted irritated by request to check in. They offered no rationale, just quoted hotel policy. Very off putting. Otherwise great experience.

Such a beautiful property from top to bottom. Not a single thing has been missed. Front desk was so accommodating and welcoming The restaurant inside the hotel, brilliant. It’s exactly what we were looking for. Highly recommend.

There is nothing that could make this hotel any better other than making it pet friendly!!! As it’s really hard to find pet-friendly accommodations in the downtown. They are all in the blue Mountain Village.

Great hotel. Retro cool room. Realitybis better than the photos. Excellent restaurant (on their tv over the bar, I wish they kept the classic B&W movie playing versus switching over to a live football game, which diminished the vibe). Delicious food. Excellent service. What a find!

A beautifully appointed hotel within walking distance of restaurants, shops and the lake. Aesthetically appealing lobby, common spaces and suits complete with kitchens and luxurious baths. Enjoyed listening to classic vinyl records provided. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at this unique and historic gem in Collingwood. Will definitely recommend and visit again.

We stayed at the Dorchester for 2 nights in October 2024. I’ve never stayed at a hotel that is this difficult to reach, even as a current guest. We tried calling on Friday night to ask some further questions (we were coming to stay the following day) but the phone kept ringing and ringing and we didn’t end up getting through. When we arrived we were provided with an after hours line to call, however guests will likely have to use this line even during regular hours. On Sunday - they were barely at the front desk. Later, tried calling the front desk at 6 pm (within the hours of their front desk service) but we never got through. Went to the front desk but no one was there. Had to call after hours line even though it wasn’t after hours. They picked up and said that no one was at the hotel, and that it would take at least an hour to get us a replacement tissue box and a paper towel roll because no staff were on site.
