We used to stay in Motel 6 growing up. It wasn't fancy, but it was always a clean place to stay. Our first room seemed great at first, very large room, even had a refrigerator and coffee maker, appeared clean, even though the sheets that they took off the beds were in a pile outside the door. Then I went to the bathroom. There was blood on the bathtub! Blood! The bathmat was placed right next to it so I don't know how it got missed. We changed rooms and this one was worse. Didn't appear clean, the kick plate on the door was missing so when you opened the door pieces of wood came into the room with you. A screw was sticking out of the door frame into the room, holes in the curtains, cigarette burns on the pillow case! I made reservations elsewhere and left! Motel 6's slogan should change from "We'll leave the lights on for you" to "You better keep the lights on." The staff did apologize and said I wouldn't be charged.

This hotel was gross. It smelled bad and didn't seem clean. Check-in was terrible as far as the staff. When I booked it my thought was "it's just one night." I won't think like that again. I could not wait to get out of there.

Nice location near the beach. Pool was down the first 2 nights which was really unfortunate as we specifically booked because of the pool. Staff was friendly. Stayed 4 nights and housekeeping never changed out towels or restocked toiletries. Property is due for a facelift but not a bad place. May stay again if in the area.

Save yourself the hassle. Staff, including asst. management was rude and unprofessional. My partner lost his wallet and was thus unable to provide ID for check in. I had my ID so I checked in however the staff would not allow my partner to stay on premises. We offered to email them a copy of his Photo ID and they refused. After checking in they came to our room to check if he was there and made us turn in both of our keys and cancel our reservation leaving us without accommodations. They even threatened to call the police if he didn’t leave the room. This apparently is a recurrent issue because while I was waiting in the lobby another guest was inadvertently locked out of his room, his key would not work and they still asked for his ID…. The man simply responded “umm it’s in my room…” a faulty system with antiquated room lock/key system and add rude staff to boot. Save yourself the hassle and pay $15-20 more to book with a different hotel.

It was pet friendly, which is what drew us to make the reservation. The grounds were clean, but there were so many bugs in our room, and varieties of bugs, the bottom of our door was rotten and you could see daylight, there were people/families that appeared to be long, long term residents staying there, and the pool shower didn't work.

The location is great but conditions of property are very poor. Pool is always out of order, first room I got into needed fire alarm battery changed so it kept on beeping. Second room I got sent to the door wouldn’t open. Third room WiFi would not work. Fourth room shower bath tub wouldn’t drain, missing pillows and towels and fridge not working. Dirtiness around the property.

So gross. Wore shoes the whole time- EVEN while showering. Last minute booking for a break from a long drive- Non-smoking room wreaked of cigarettes and mildew. Homeless looking people hanging outside their rooms. Very shady place but surrounded by great places to eat and close to the becahy. Didn’t feel safe at all and couldn’t wait to leave after a few hours of sleep.
