Perfect base to explore the North Western lakes
Really enjoyed our stay here - the accommodation was well equipped and it was a lovely place to come back to after a day's hike. We received a warm welcome and were kindly left some home made biscuits on our arrival. We enjoyed watching the birds at the bird feeder and even had a visit on several occasions from a Greater Spotted Woodpecker. We enjoyed many different walks while we were there and managed to reach the summit of 31 Wainwrights - it was an ideal base!

Loweswater
We had a fantastic time. You don't go to the Lakes for the weather and we didn't get it despite apparently the rest of the country being fine and sunny. However, this didn't take away from the Lakes in autumn splendour. We made the most of the day we left which was beautiful by driving down through the rest of the Lakes and we're glad we saw it in sun as well. There are plenty of walks on the doorstep of this apartment though we tended to make a short drive and then walk - Loweswater and Buttermere. Both very lovely and some great hills to climb for the views around when the mist clears. Keswick close by too but Cockermouth is an interesting town. Particularly recommend a good browse of the book shop and excellent coffees and lunches in their cafe. Also scones down at Squirrels' Nest tea shop by the garden centre on the way into Cockermouth we agreed were the best we've ever had. Plus the bonus of watching a red squirrel stocking up for the winter outside the window This apartment was perfect - very clean, well equipped and comfortable and a good size. We spent half of the week as four adults staying and the other half as two and there was plenty of space whichever were there. After a week, I was beginning to miss a bedroom window I could look out of (plenty of high veluxes) but the view from the living area is lovely and for miles. Loved sitting watching the birds who were feeding right up at the window. We would definitely return as it was so lovely and perfectly situated. A quieter part of the Lakes away from the worst of the holiday crowds. We slept like logs. Must have been the peace and quiet and the comfortable beds! Ray and Margaret are excellent hosts and gave us a lovely welcome. Thank you

Top Ferienwohnung und sehr nette und hilfsbereite Vermieter
Sehr gut ausgestattete und komfortable Ferienwohnung mit toller Aussicht. Die Wohnung ist ein guter Ausgangspunkt für Wanderungen im Lake District. Dafür ist auch sehr umfangreiches Infomaterial vorhanden.

Schöne gemütliche FeWo mit freundlichen Vermietern
Die Wohnung ist groß, gemütlich und super ausgestattet. Sogar Waschmaschine und Trockner. Sie liegt zwar nicht mitten im Nationalpark, aber viele schöne Ziele sind schnell mit dem Auto zu erreichen. Und es gab leckere Begrüßungskekse ;-).

Lovely Holiday Flat with Lovely Hosts
We really enjoyed to stay in the apartment. It is so lovingly decorated and we like the quiet and warm atmosphere. The hosts are doing a great job. They prepared everything so well and the comunication worked fine. We would definitely recommend Loweswater Apartment.
