Relaxing house to unwind from the day
We enjoyed our stay at this Guest House in Kirtland. We had very busy days and it was a treat to come back to this quiet neighborhood to unwind. We loved the screened porch surrounded by trees. The house has interesting and fun decor and has everything you need to feel at home.

I really enjoyed staying at this property. It felt like stepping back into the home of my childhood with the interior full of features from 1950's to 1970's. All was in good condition and appliances were new. It is perfect for two people staying upstairs. I was the third person sleeping in the basement and it was slightly musty in the summer down there. The HVAC can be loud at night as it is located in the basement. Earplugs could solve that. The roll away bed was quite comfortable and the aforementioned decor was fun as the basement is a family room. I would stay here again. The manager was great. There are forest trails to enjoy nearby for a morning hike.

Unique and relaxing place to be
We are a couple in our 50-60's who thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Lots of neat mid-century touches from the decor to the toys and snacks (my partner sampled the cherry poptarts our hosts provided.) Interesting layout perfect for a couple, beautiful window in the living room. Internet connection was good for working remotely from the dining room table. Best of all was the screened-in porch surrounded by old and young trees, a great spot for morning coffee or just to sit and watch the birds and squirrels. We enjoyed seeing the stars at night, which we cannot do in our home city. (Although remote enough to see the stars, it was close enough to drive to the places we needed to be in under a half hour; 10 minutes to Willoughby for a visit to the farmer's market and brunch at Chagrin River Diner.) Queen-sized bed was firm and bedding was comfortable. Towels soft and big. Good water pressure for shower. Everything super clean. Our hosts were great - provided more than we needed, and we enjoyed meeting them very much. We are looking forward to returning.

After wedding
I seriously cannot say enough good things about our stay. I got married at Squire’s Castle, and was looking for a place to stay nearby after all of the hustle and bustle of the wedding. The owner was more than willing to work with me on a late check-in and a late check-out, which was very much appreciated. After checking in we even found a greeting card congratulating us on our marriage, as well as some sweet treats and a small bottle of champagne in the fridge for us. Literally felt like we were staying with friends. As for the property itself, it is nestled back into a quiet spot in the woods, which I loved, because we live near railroad tracks and so the peace and quiet was very welcome. The house was super clean and very cozy. We are so happy we chose this place to stay. It made our weekend even more perfect!!

Relaxed retro vibe
We were here for a weekend, Mary, the host thought of everything. The house had everything we needed, including extras like coffee and waters, shampoo, hairdryer, etc. We thoroughly enjoyed the screened deck for coffee and again in the evening for nostalgic board games and adult beverages. Loved it.

Over the moon
Our stay was perfect, our host Mary was so easy to communicate with and left us the best little Solar eclipse trove of Moon Pies and Sun Chips with a special boutique popcorn made for the solar eclipse event. The home was immaculately decorated in mid-century vibe, was extremely quiet, private and located close enough where we needed to be! Wonderful! 5 Stars across the board!

Happy Guest in The Guest House!
What a fantastic week in this amazing house plunked in the woods! The owners next door were simply wonderful and graciously extended my stay last minute. The house’s high ceilings, huge windows, and pristine mid-century modern/retro vibe make this place so nice! The view from the screened-in porch included an entire family of deer walking through the woods. A very comfy bed, cozy gas stove up and fireplace down, and fully stocked with everything including an excellent stackable laundry- wow! Loved it! Thanks for a great stay! Anne

Cozy and Nostalgic
We enjoyed our stay at this place- it was spacious but cozy at the same time, and very clean. It had a lot of homey, vintage touches that made it feel like we were back in our childhood. Without driving far from the house we took in Historic Kirtland village, the James Garfield home, and a bit of the North Chagrin Reservation on this early November weekend trip. Everything was beautiful outside in the surrounding property, neighborhood, and general area. The hosts are kind and have made it an interesting, atmospheric, and comfortable place to stay.

Well Designed Getaway!
This is a beautiful stay amongst the trees in Ohio. Mary, the owner, gave us some history of the place as we checked in. This Dutch Modern structure was originally an office, and has it's original signage totem pole outside of the parking area. Mary has put a lot of TLC into reviving this beautiful space into multiple living areas, all thoughtfully appointed with stylish midcentury furnishings and collection of artwork. All the little details of hospitality were considered. It was truly a gem of a stay. So peaceful. Loved it!!! Thank you.

Cozy & Quiet!
My husband and I were in town for a wedding at the Tall Oaks Lodge & we needed a close place to stay for one night. It was about a 10 minute drive to the venue, so easy to get back to! The space was decorated adorably & we were greeted by the owner on arrival. Love the history of the building & the screened in back porch. Great fall views in November! We were sad we couldn’t stay all weekend to enjoy the house more!
