Comfortable stay in a cosy and friendly motel
Had a comfortable 3 night stay here. Room was spacious. Friendly reception helped us out when we accidentally put something important in the bin. Location close to a range of eating venues and Hagley Park. We walked from here into the city centre and botanic gardens. Room very clean. Would stay here again.

I needed to change my booking and that was done no trouble. Loved the old character of the buildings and the location was fantastic for eateries within walking distance. As we were staying for medical appts at ChCh hospital,this was close for an easy drive to and fro. Thankyou Clinton and Chris.

The manager of this property is so friendly and helpful. The room is so spacious and clean. Just needs a little tlc to make it perfect, but we loved the atmosphere, its family friendly also.

We booked this property because we required a large room with two separate sleeping areas. The room was large and had multiple beds and two bathrooms as advertised. The condition of the property as well as the cleanliness were terrible. The bathrooms are moldy, paint chipped off all walls, rooms smelled musty, all surfaces had marks/handprints/food/white powder on the night stand!!! Absolutely the worst hotel we have stayed at in Christchurch, and we frequent the city regularly. The pool has a resident duck and the spa is missing so many tiles, totally dilapidated. It’s unfortunate as this hotel could be really cool if updated as the building itself is interesting. Pay the extra money and stay anywhere else in the area.

The daily room clean was half done, dishes not done, the cleaning trolley was left in the room. There were no electric blankets, no bedside clock, the wall heater worked sometimes, The bathroom taps did not work properly, the towel rails was btoken. The room w as advertised as a 4 Star but was definitely not 4 Star. We let the duty manager know and all we got was an appology.

Lovely rooms that are well laid out, unfortunately they require a bit of maintenance. Our unit also had a lot of ants that came out in the kitchen overnight.
