This is a beautifully remodeled, modern, spacious, and luxuriously furnished 3 bedroom, 2 bath private city apartment. Unit includes fully equipped kitchen, dining room, heated/enclosed back porch, and large front balcony. We feature high-thread count cotton linens, beautiful furnishings, original artwork, 55 inch Samsung smart TV with streaming capability and basic Dish Network, wireless internet , in-unit wash and dryer, quartz countertops, custom cabinetry, stainless steel appliances, dishwasher, and much more. We are only 2 blocks from Loyola University, The Loyola stop on the train (Elevated Subway) to take you downtown, and Hartigan Beach Park, and there is plenty of dining nearby to suit every taste. We are also a short drive from Evanston and Northwestern University. Property manager/owner on site to answer questions and ensure your stay is a pleasant one.

FAMILY FRIENDLY AMENITIES: We provide a pack and play, high chair, children's cups and dinnerware, and outlet covers at no additional cost.

A 10% discount for stays of 7 nights or more is automatically applied to your reservation.

PARKING: Parking is almost always readily available on our block. It is however, "neighborhood zoned" meaning, guests will need a pass to park a vehicle on the street. We can provide parking passes at 1 per night of your stay at $3 each. If you have more than one vehicle or need additional passes beyond one per night of your stay, additional passes can be purchased at $5 each. The city charges us for them, and only allows us a limited number of passes per month.

This 2-flat building was built in 1916 and has been meticulously maintained and updated. There are beautiful gardens in the front and back. This bright apartment is located on the entire 2nd floor, with new windows on all sides. If you have mobility issues, it may be important to note that there is no elevator.

My husband and I live on the first floor and are available to help guests. We also provide window unit A/C in all the bedrooms and living room in the warmer months.

Prices are subject to change at any time. Tentative reservations may be held for 24 hours upon request.

PLEASE NOTE: All requests for exceptions or variations from rules MUST be submitted in writing and documented through the message thread and not via phone or in person. Unless an exception has been granted in writing, guest agrees that no exception has been granted.

Bookings with less than 7 days notice require approval and will be considered on a case-by-case basis.

Please fill out and return our rental agreement and a legible copy of your government ID upon completion of booking.

1. Minimum age to rent this property is 25. You must provide a copy of a Government-Issued Photo ID with address of the Primary Guest to us (the Host) before you will be allowed access. Primary guests without ID, or who are under 25 will be denied access to the property, and have their reservations cancelled without refund.
2. We do our best to keep our property very clean. Please help us keep it that way by removing shoes before entry.
3. As our property has not been child-proofed, we encourage guests to take extra care if your party involves children.
4. We live in the unit below this rental property. Quiet hours are from 10:30pm - 7:00am. Our bedroom is right below the stairs, so please tread lightly after 10:30pm.
5. No parties. The City of Chicago does not allow events in Vacation Rentals. Our occupancy is capped at 10 at any given time. Guests who violate this rule will have their reservations cancelled immediately without refund.

11. You will be assessed a $300 fee for a lost key.

We truly enjoyed the condo. I like how there are separate rooms by functions. It breaks the condo into living room, dining room, kitchen, while they’re still connected. Like an old house charm with renovated kitchen and master bathroom.

Gary and his apartment are just the best! I hesitate to give it such great ratings because I want to have it available for my next visit! Amazing Apartment - Wonderful Stay
I recently stayed at the Loyola Apartment for five days, and it was perfect for my visit to Chicago. The location was ideal—close to campus and my son’s apartment—which made everything incredibly convenient. The apartment itself exceeded my expectations. It was impeccably clean, spacious, and thoughtfully designed. With three bedrooms, two bathrooms, and a fully stocked kitchen, it provided all the comforts of home. The neighborhood was charming—quiet, quaint and I always felt safe. The property manager was fantastic. He was exceptionally helpful and responded to all my questions and communication promptly and professionally. Very friendly and personable. Check-in and check-out were seamless, and I appreciated how easy it was to find street parking. I would stay here again and highly recommend it to others. If I could give this property ten stars, I would!

A Very Pleasant Apartment!
We stayed at this apartment for five nights, and had a wonderful time! Our host, Gary, was very helpful and made the check-in and check-out processes nice and simple. The apartment is very clean, modern, and well-maintained, with plenty of space. A quick note regarding street parking. I generally noticed that the later it got in the evenings, the more parking became limited and difficult to find. Just wanted to mention that for the benefit of future guests!

Everything in the write-up is totally accurate. Beautiful tree-lined neighborhood near the Loyola RedLine station. The beach is a 10 minute walk. Small but clean and comes with a life guard. The rental is clean and uncluttered. Great for a family vacation. Easily the nicest VRBO we have ever stayed and the owners the best.

Great home base for exploring Chicago!
We enjoyed the comfortable and functional space, conveniently close to public transportation. We explored the Navy Pier, University of Chicago, Second City comedy club, the "Bean", the Field Museum and a number of restaurants around Chicago, all accessible from the public transportation system. Having this as a comfortable home base for our 4 day trip helped make our trip fantastic. We also spent a great afternoon at the beach that is a short walk away. The host and the space are top notch, and we would happily stay there next time we schedule a trip to Chicago.

Lives up to the promise of the listing
This listing promised a lot... the property delivered. Owners have clearly put a lot of care into this property, it seems to be meticulously maintained, and they are quite responsive. Our family stayed here and felt quite at home (even when the weather got a little hairy for West Coast tourists, lol). We comfortably used CTA (the L) to get everywhere-- it's two blocks to a Red Line stop. The Rogers Park neighborhood had some gems even though we spent a lot of our time downtown. Highly recommend this place. This was the kind of stay that had me briefly checking real estate listings down the street before remembering I can't just pick up and move.

We had a great time, close enough to key landmarks in Chicago but also removed so my parents could take a rest from the hustling and bustling of the city. Enjoyed a wonderful graduation weekend in Gary's place just steps from Loyola and a quick drive to NU in Evanston. The house is comfortable and charming. There is easy walking access to the Target and the Rogers Park Social House (a fave hangout). Highly recommend!
