The service at the restaurant has changed, all the servers was talking to each other while all the tables were full of dirty plates. Looks like the restaurant manager was more occupied talking and laughing with the servers instead of making sure everything was ok. Me and my family stayed here back in May, and everyone was in its place because of the people that was supervising.

Property was nice and clean. Staff were very attentive and professional. The only thing I noticed is the wait staff in the dining area did not wipe/clean the tables or the salt and pepper shakers between customers. With Covid and other viruses, this is something that should be done at all times.

I had such a good time at Riu Plaza Chicago. The rooms were super clean and comfortable. The location was amazing and almost every landmark in downtown Chicago was in walking distance. The staff were so nice, friendly and helpful. Their food was not my favorite but it was nice to have a buffet breakfast before heading out. The rooftop restaurant and bar had an amazing view and if you like sipping few drinks while you’re enjoying the downtown landscapes you should try it. The only thing that I would to mention is the housekeeping staff was sometimes too loud around the check-in time, talking loudly and slamming the doors. I understand they have to rush to make the rooms clean and ready for the next guest, but if you’re trying to take a nap or have a meeting it’s a little bit disturbing. I will definitely be back on my next trip to Chicago.
