Just what we needed
The check in was amazing. They let us check in 4 hours early with a small fee which was perfect for us since we ended up getting there with no traffic. The desk attendant was friendly knowledgeable and overall a kind person. The only things we didn’t like was the fact our toilet clogged up and we tried 3 times to get a plunger to no avail but it clogged the night before we left so it was more problematic for housekeeper than it was for us and made us feel bad for leaving it that way. The hallways and lobby were super muggy but again didn’t affect our overall trip. We would definitely stay here again. Didn’t get to try the pool but it looked small but clean and well taken care of. Breakfast was adequate! Hot eggs and sausage and also a waffle maker and cereal oatmeal and fruit. Overall a wonderful stay.

I have a lot of photos if you want them. Literally poop on the curtains and by the door. Something white and crusty on the chair and blood on the comforter. They told us they didn’t have any other rooms but they also never sent anyone to clean up the filth.

Potential to be Excellent but Not There Yet
The condition of the common areas of the hotel are excellent and clean. The room was comfortable, the bed. Yet the bathroom was rundown and dirty. The bathtub was chipped, the lighting was poor, and the sink had yellow mold around the drain. The bathroom floor was filthy. I used two towels to wipe the floor down and was amazed at the dirt. There was also dirt in the corners and next/behind the toilet. The TV in the room also did not work. The setting of the hotel is very nice, along a major road and parkway with many trees around the property. With some better cleaning of the rooms this could be an excellent hotel.

Liked this property on day one. Day 2 and 3 were crappy. They wouldn’t give us any towels, said the laundry was closed 2 days in a row. They informed us on day 2 when I asked for towels that they only do housekeeping every other day, but 3 days here and they never came to our room and were rude as could be when I asked for something to wash and dry off with. I would not recommend this place if you have to stay for more than 1 day.

This was easily the nicest comfort inn I've ever been to, and the price was very good for the Chicago suburbs area. I appreciated that it was clean and easy to park as well. My room had a really awesome three panel mirror in the bathroom, which ended up being great for doing costume makeup. The king size bed was strangely high off the ground though, so I had a really hard time getting in and out of it. However, I did have a problem with inappropriate men around the property. When reported to staff, they took the concern seriously. However, If you're traveling alone, that might be a thing to watch out for. Everyone else should be fine though.
