✔ Safe and vibrant neighborhood.

We’re located right at the tip of Michigan Avenue in Gold Coast, one of Chicago’s most picturesque and safest neighborhoods. Our neighborhood is a wonderful mix of bustling streets packed with local restaurants and shops, as well as quiet tree-lined streets full of historic buildings. Although shops and restaurants are only a short walk away, the area feels peaceful and secluded. Because of our central location, we recommend leaving your car at home. Any point of interest in Chicago can easily be reached by walking, public transit, or Uber. The Clark/Division Red Line 'L' train station is three blocks from our building.
During your stay at this apartment building, you're just a quick walk from Michigan Avenue. A gym and a spa tub are available. The apartment offers a kitchen and a microwave.

Great stay
This property was perfect for our weekend in Chicago. The surrounding area was cute and had lots of restaurant options. We were in town for the marathon so I appreciated being close by to a grocery store and the red line. The stop to the red line was a short walk and made getting to the start line a breeze.

You couldn't ask for a better spot to stay in downtown chicago. I feel like we got so lucky in accidentally, booking this, the first time we were in Chicago. 10 out of 10 recommend staying here.

Great apartment with fixable flaws
Excellent location and lovely vintage building. Spacious apartment, but very cheap uncomfortable furniture and bed. No cutting knives in kitchen. The worst flaw were the sharp nails pointing up through the wood floor in the bedroom in the high traffic area near the door to the kitchen which punctured the bare feet of my wife and I. There were also splinters in the floor. Unlabeled mystery bath products in the shower required experimentation and some Kleenex would be appreciated. Despite these issues we enjoyed our stay.

End of summer Chicago trip
The space was nicely laid out with a comfortable bed and sofa, with tables and counters providing room to get comfortable and organized for a 4 night/5 day stay. And it was very clean. We learned that the responsiveness of the host was very good, as when we got there Chicago was experiencing an end of summer extreme heat wave; it was 99 outside and when we got up into the apartment the a/c had not been on and it was much hotter than 98. The a/c is in the bedroom only, and while that would have been quite adequate for "normal" days, it was not going to cool the other rooms in that kind of heat. After speaking with Sean, one of the hosts, he had a fan purchased and delivered within 2 hours that we were able to place at the entrance of the now cool bedroom and pull the cool air into the other rooms. The fan was tall and thin and quiet and took up almost no space and made the rest of our stay comfortable. It's in a lovely neighborhood, just a block or two from Magnificent mile, easy bus access, and close to Oak Street Lake. We went to Lou Malnati's for my first Chicago deep dish pizza. It is just around the corner and we actually ate there twice, in 5 days. It was SO good and if you like chocolate, their chocolate obsession dessert is indescribable, 4-minute walk from the apt. at State & Rush St. It was a great place to stay. And about the stairs, it's 19 steps times 2, but how considerate that on the landing of the 2nd floor, there is a chair, which we almost needed!

Great stay, great location in the perfect part of town!!
The stay was absolutely incredible. I felt so comfortable and so welcomed. The Gold Coast neighborhood is incredibly charming and so walkable to the lake, downtown, bars/restaurants, any anywhere you needed to go. The listing was exactly how it looked. I felt safe most importantly and it was free of any outside noise/distractions. The unit is on the third floor and there is no elevator, for those that are staying with lots of luggage. However, I would say that it is very much worth it and I would stay here again!

a stylish refuge in the heart of Chicago
with some nice ironic touches . . . Seriously, this is an ideal place to stay alone or as a couple (or use the sofa bed to add one). I stayed 10 nights in March, 2024, in town for theater, music at various venues (Symphony Center to jazz clubs), museums, urban ramblings. The accommodation is a half-block from Lake Shore Drive and access to walking along the lakefront trail or taking a bus to anywhere along Michigan Avenue or Union Station. In the other direction, you have 3-4 blocks to the red line "L', a grocery store, and many restaurants, bars, and shops. You are safe walking in this neighborhood day or evening. I was, and did. The accommodation itself is exactly as pictured, comfortably and rather elegantly furnished. The kitchen is well equipped; the bed is comfy firm. Yes, you are on the third floor without an elevator. There are actually only 2 flights of interior stairs, and the hallway and staircase are architecturally beautiful. There are also external stairs up to the front door. The street is so quiet that it is hard to believe you are indeed in the heart of Chicago. Communication with the hosts was quick and easy when needed, instructions and entry were clear. I'm home now, so happy to have found and stayed here. I hope to return.

Steps Away From Beaches, Shopping and Northwestern Hospital.
The description of the unit is spot on. While most people have fun in Chicago staying here, ours was a surgical visit to Northwestern Hospital. This was the perfect alternative to the hospital rate of over $400 @ night at the hotels around the hospital. It was very clean and had everything we needed to fix the few meals that we had there. The bed was also comfortable. Most importantly, the communications with Jorge were great. We had the sign in information in plenty of time and he was quick to answer any questions that we had. The street was well lit and quiet, which we appreciated. We were very happy to have found this place.

Gem of a rental
Fantastic property! Older building (which you want in this area) - no issues with hot water, water pressure, or heater. Lots of attention to detail like including laundry baskets to do laundry downstairs. Cozy, beautiful apartment. Walking distance to a grocery store, Walgreens, CVS, and coffee shop. Lots of pubs in the area. Higher-end restaurants nearby, so I usually walked about 15min towards downtown to eat elsewhere. Very quiet, picturesque, street with easy access to concrete beach. Red-Line access is across the street from the grocery store, about a 7 minute walk. Hope to rent again next time I'm in Chicago.

The wife and I are not city folk, so, we were alittle nervous just picking a random place. That’s when, as a husband, the wife forced me to pick our place…. I did! She was happy, this I was happy! The place is clean, great location to food, shops, ect. Would stay again!

Great location, perfect size & beautifully decorated! So close to everything, within footsteps from the front door. The stairs are a lot if you have a lot of luggage to bring in. Also, there were a couple of maintenance issues, but management was notified. All in all, a great stay and a great value!
