Before you pack up the car and head for the mountains, know that when we say mountains, we really mean it! Downtown Bryson City has an elevation of 1,752 feet, so think of this as a starting point. The majority of our cabins will have a higher elevation than this. This means that our roads- both state and private- will be steeper, narrower, and curvier than you may be use to driving. Also, you should expect to encounter gravel roads. Consider it part of our rural mountain charm!
Here at Yellow Rose, your safety is our priority. If a cabin requires 4 wheel, front wheel, or all wheel drive to access it, it will be listed in the description. If bringing or riding motorcycles, please call and ask for motorcycle friendly properties. If you have any concerns about accessing your rental, please call prior to your arrival and we will be happy to discuss it with you.
Yellow Rose Realty has top rated customer service and has been Locally Owned and Operated Since 1995. We are a company that gives back to the local community and we offer our guests 24/7 Emergency Assistance. View our list of adventure partners to get Special Discounts on Popular Attractions!

Hurricane hit
The place was absolutely great - definitely not the host or property manager's fault. Hurricane Helene hit and we were forced to evacuate. I can tell you it would have been great otherwise. Right on the water and very nice other than the couches ARE too uncomfortable as stated in other posts. Back porch is awesome with water view!!

Location
Surrounding area was not as described. Loud train, old creepy houses and the river was so dirty. We stayed a night due to fear for our safety. I would give zero star but that wasn’t an option so I have to give 1 star.

Alot of bees outside the house. We got stung a few times thankfully nobidy was allergic to bees on this trip. Also on Thursday our kids was outside placing and some guys that said they worked for the owner of the residence were outside walking around the property. One of the guys had a gun on his waist which is fine however an announcement that they were coming to look through the storage under the house would have been more appropriate. Especially considering the children ages ranging from 6 to 14 were outside at the time. 3 star rating due to these listed items.

Too expensive for the quality of the home
I wouldn't describe our stay at this little home on the river as awful, but we did expect a lot more for the price. It does back up to the river, and the back porch is nice, but the interior of the home was what one might expect from a low-end motel. No modern updates, and it didn't seem as though it had been thoroughly cleaned in a while. If you're looking for a spot for a bunch of dudes to crash after you spend most of your time at Harrah's Casino, I would say this is a good spot. If you're bringing your family up to the mountains for hiking, etc., I'm not sure you're going to be happy with your choice. The management company was easy to work with, they provided a lot of towels, and it had a lot of coffee cups, dishes, pots and pan. We paid about $300 per night with the fees, and I think it was worth about half that amount.

Polar Express
We stayed and went on the Polar Express with GSMR in neighboring Bryson City. The North Pole on the train ride is located 1 street up from the house. The area itself is a little run down and the the town of Whittier is dead. However, you are close to Dillsboro and Cherokee. We enjoyed our stay. I would say if you don’t want to hear multiple trains a day and are looking for a more lively city this isn’t the place for you. If you are renting just to stay out and enjoy a river view this is perfect. The house appeared recently remodeled. Nice towels, washer/dryer was clean, kitchen was well equipped.

Relaxing river view
House is as advertised. Very close to Sylva, Bryson City & Cherokee. Bring your own pots and pans if you plan to do a lot of cooking only a few small frying pans a huge pot and small pot available. ( we don't, so not a big deal for us. ) Also bring a toaster as there isn't one. Neighborhood seems very safe except for a thieving black dog 😆 that will steal your fishing bait and shoes. There were 3 families and we left during the day without locking the doors with no issues. Didn't lock car doors at night either. Yes, there is a trailer on the lot in front, but don't judge. Didn't even see anyone come or go from there.

Very deceiving okay
One son got there the night before everybody else and advised us not to even come and stay location was horrible, trailer right outside the front door house sits right off of main bridge. And then the one night he did stay there somebody tried to break in the back window of his truck. So the rest of the family that was supposed to go we decided not to go at all and put our lives or vehicles at risk. It's just a shame that we lost so much money on renting a place that was very deceiving with their pictures. My advice do not rent this place

Weekend Getaway
The cottage was very clean, a very calm place to stay in a quiet area. Only issue we encounter was the air filter had not been changed in an extremely long time, so we went and bought one, and the back deck needed more attention, birds had pooped all down the window, and on some of the door and on most all of the deck furniture. Otherwise we thoroughly enjoyed our stay.

A Hidden Gem With Great River Views & Away From Traffic But Close To Everything
The cabin seems to be newly remodeled and is immaculately clean. It is located directly on the riverbank with awesome views even from inside the cabin. The location is away from crowds and traffic, but it only a short drive to the casino and shopping. The Yellow Rose Realty made reservations and check in a breeze with sending accurate directions and door code. The cabin is perfect for a small family getaway vacation. We definitely recommend this rental.

Awesome weekend
We had a great time tubing the Tuckaseegee and the Oconoluftee rivers, cooking and hanging out at the house. No complaints except that the grill fell apart when we picked it up but we were able to make it work. I would definitely choose this house again! Thank you!

The cabin was very nice and clean. It was quiet and peaceful.
I enjoyed the stay. I didn’t realize it was on a river instead of a creak. I was hoping to be able to sit a chair in the water and chill. Had to drive to Cherokee to do this but it was a short drive. There was quite a bit of traffic on the bridge close to the house so not quite as peaceful as I was hoping but still nice. The cabin was equipped with everything you need. Great family time without crowds.

Very Peaceful
We really enjoyed our stay. Owners and managers were so sweet and accommodating. It was tough to cook as much as we needed to (couldn’t really eat out due to COVID) w/o better kitchen utensils etc but I can understand not wanting to invest in that for a VRBO. Bar chairs were broken. Other than that it was very nice. Definitely needs WiFi. The area is gorgeous and very close to Cherokee and Bryson City - Whittier is a much better area if tourist traps are not your thing. The Tuck is very wide and deep, so we did have to travel some to fish. Perfect river for kayaks!!

The cabin itself was neat and clean minus the hair left on the sheets of one of the beds. The neighborhood has a few abandoned homes. One view was the river and the other was a trailer and abandoned building No extra sheets for the futons either
