What you’d expect from a discount motel was apparent. Breakfast was as cheap as cheap gets. No meat, no eggs, no waffles. My breakfast ended up being a bag of beef jerky from the gas station next door. However, the deal breaker that caused me to immediately cancel my remaining reservation and go to another hotel was being awakened by the sensation of the spider crawling up my arm. When I informed the motel manager of the incident and the additional live spiders I found in the room, which I made photos of for proof, she thought it was sufficient to appease my trauma by thanking me for informing her and she’ll be sure to call the exterminator on Monday. Wow. She referred me to Expedia for a full refund. I referred her to a better exterminator. Fairfield Inn by Marriott about a quarter mile down the street was wonderful.

The room was okay. However, the beds were hard, the phone did not work, toilet paper holders half on the wall half off, room smelled of mens cologne, shuttle to casino was in the shop, floor had stains, and the pullows are poor quality. Breakfast was okay if you wanted cold food such as ceral, oatmeal was in packets and u add ur own hot water, bagels you can toast urself, yogurt and muffins. However, the coffee was good.

There is nothing particularly grand about this hotel, except its location opposite the Cherokee casino. I recall a sign in the entry hall stating the property had been "recently renovated" - I wonder which part.. There is convenient parking in front of the door and the beds are very comfortable. I guess that also concludes the positives. It was a choice of convenience and price and as such it served its purpose.

Great Hotel!
My friends,family, and myself enjoyed our stay at the Cherokee Grand Hotel. The room was spacious, clean, and had all the amenities that we needed. Check-in and check-out was easy. The staff was friendly and helpful. We will definitely stay here again the next time we go to Cherokee.

If you happen to luck out and get a room in the "new" section (recently renovated) ( rooms #500 ) youre doing well. The "older" section (specifically room 124) need urgent updating. The carpet needs replacing and the room needs painting (to help eliminate the "stale smoke smell"). For a one night stay i didnt feel the need to bring this to the staff's attention. Will definitely check out more options next time.

Was an easy check in unlike other hotels in the area, having 3 or 4 properties not knowing where to park or which bldg you will be staying in. Employees were very kind. Place was very clean and quiet. I’d stay again!

Anniversary trip
My stay was good as always.The rooms are always nice and clean. We stayed in another part of the hotel this time and I quite enjoyed that more. It was so quiet and peaceful. The room was a little musty but we always bring febreeze with us so not that big of a deal. All in all Grand Cherokee is always my first go to
