This is a small older hotel but is kept very clean and organized. The pool area is immaculately clean. The staff was very friendly and the breakfast each morning was very yummy and had lots of options. My kids enjoyed playing in the pool and walking along the river walk. We stayed at this location while we did day trips up into the UP to visit Pictured Rocks and Munising

The building is in need of maintenance. The cement is crumbling. Doors held together with electrician tape. Rugs had large stains on them. Plus the door by my room (close to the pool) slammed very hard. People were very loud coming and going to the pool for hours. It is the lowest quality Best Western I have ever stayed at. Blacktop was crumbling.

The room was very small especially the bathroom area, sink, vanity, etc. The towel rack was coming out of the wall and the sink drain was clogged and drained very slow. The best part of this was the balcony and the river view. Otherwise for the Money it was definitely not worth it..!!

The property has a wonderful view of the river. The property needs some renovations, bathroom door will not shut, door to outside terrace had large gaps, paint chipping off walls, electrical extension cord on floor in front of terrace door. Went to the front desk when I checked in and spoke to Kevin at the front desk to complain about out terrace that had bird droppings on the deck, railing and chairs and table. I asked if someone could clean it up but nobody was available. Kevin promised that it would be taken care of in the morning (never happened). We had a neighbor next to us smoking on his balcony and I asked him to please not smoke since I have a breathing problem. He was not nice and starting swearing at me. I went to the front desk and asked what the policy of smoking on the deck since you cannot smoke in your room. The girl at the front desk had no idea what the policy was.

Good alternate stay for Mackinaw Island travellers
Loved the spacious, clean room and the service. Nice balcony overlooking the river. Location is not the greatest, but once inside the hotel it feels good and safe. Wifi needs an urgent upgrade

Really nice hotel close to fast food and Walmart. About 25 minutes from Mackinaw City and Mackinaw Bridge and ferry to Mackinaw Island.
