My experience at this hotel left a lot to be desired. First, the bed was hard and very uncomfortable, making it difficult to get a good night’s sleep. Worse, there were metal L brackets running down the sides of the box spring, which were extremely dangerous—especially for families with young kids. After checkout, I noticed a $50 charge on my account. When I called to inquire, I was told it was a standard hold for damages, which is fine in principle, but I wasn’t informed of this at check-in. When I mentioned that, the staff member responded that they “encourage” front desks to notify guests, but it’s also written somewhere at the desk. I explained that most guests don’t read fine print of signs in lobby at check-in, expecting staff to provide key information verbally. Her response? “I suggest you start reading.” The tone and rudeness were completely uncalled for. What could have been a simple explanation turned into an unpleasant exchange that left a bad impression. I won’t be returning.

The property is going through a transition/renovation. The lobby is nice and welcoming. The couches in the common area were dirty. The pool was closed for maintenance, this is indicated on company’s website; however, Orbitz is deceiving as I filtered breakfast included and pool-this location populated and showed picture of pool. When you select the hotel “pool” is not listed under the amenities and this is how they justified that the pool was not available. I was disappointed as this was specifically an amenity I was looking forward to. After check-in I called Orbitz and the end result was $40.00 credit to my form of payment which I didn’t think was enough considering the circumstances. I have stayed at other properties in the same town that had better breakfast and more attention to detail. Two juice options, no hot chocolate-overall very basic. I was on the 3rd floor, the hallways were dark. The room was comfortable but definitely not reflective of the presentation in the lobby. Comfortable bed and pillows. Small towels and old bathroom/furniture. Tv and mirror in the bathroom seemed to be the only modern items. The pullout sofa bed was old and a bit dirty. There was a small fridge, microwave and coffeemaker in the room. The staff was ok, some more friendly than others. Angela at the front desk did go above and beyond in giving me a list of places to explore with my kids that had water attractions since the pool was out of order. She brought info to my room-thank you again!

Good night sleep
After driving all day we wanted a comfortable place to sleep. This hotel did it, beds super comfortable, air/heat not noisy, blackout drapes. Great choice for our needs.
